Well Orlando is clearly retarded for giving Rashard that kind of money and not even being interested in Vince. But if they were sensible and Vince asked 12 mill per year for 4 years. Vince would definitely provide a lot more than Rashard will for 20 mill per year over 4 those years. Vince is just as good a 3 point shooter, and gets less open looks, he draws double teams and is a better passer.

Well Vince is a career 37.5% 3 point shooter, and Rashard is a career 39% 3 point shooter. However Vince has been the #1 offensive option pretty much everywhere he has been and has drawn a lot more attention than Rashard has during their entire careers. I'd argue that Vince is just as good a 3 point shooter as Rashard is.

Vince taking away shots from Dwight and Hedo could be true, last year Vince averaged 17 FGA/game, while Rashard averaged 14 FGA/game. So he would take a couple more shots. But I mean, I doubt they would mind much, outside of Dwight and Hedo, who do they want to be taking a lot of shots?

Something that Vince would be a big asset is Vince's ability to create a shot, and his passing, he averaged 5.1 apg last year, and Rashard has never averaged more than 2.4 apg in his career.

during jan/feb of 07 when the trade deadline was near, and vince still wasnt sure if he was gonna resign, orlando magic GM said that carter was "fool's gold" an they werent interested in him. carter haters around the world rejoiced that they had someone on their side and threads starting popping up saying "SEE???? the league hates carter and he is a soft, weak etc" but i was just saying later that GM clarified that statement referring to him leaving for another team...not him as a player.

Vince is in a great position for him.

This version of the Nets has no pressure and he is free to put up all of the pretty stats that he wants. Hopefully they are pretty enough that his trade value increases to something decent.

Additionally, Vince has learned from earlier in his career and he is now a good teammate and he understands what he needs to do for these young guys on and off the court.

agreed. i love that 81 pt game and i agree he had to do it to win. i watched it live. basically what i am trying to get it is that vince was the only one to really speak up about remembering to play a team game. that is how much of a team player he is. that is what i am trying to get out of the 81pt analogy..that vince is not a player looking to take shots, he is all about the team.

he disappeared vs cavs is game 5 and 6. games 1-4 he did okay and in game 3 he was big in getting them a win. he was teriffic vs the raptors. he some of his best performances.

oh there is plenty of question. he was great in round 1 and had 2 pretty bad games in 5 and 6 like i said above. game 1, he had IDENTICAL stats to lebron. game 2, he was aggressive but got no calls. game 3, he played great and the team won. game 4, shot was not going down but he was really trying and made a huge f*ck up on the last play. game 5 and 6 he was totally out of it and sucked.

i just cant believe that a dude with the numbers and the attitude vince has had NO interest in him. yet someone like rashard lewis gets all the attention....i highly doubt that. i personally think it was pretty clear that vince was coming back to jersey seeing that he resigned days after opting out.
