It's a silly article, that's what people are pointing out. That's as legitimate as your initial question, probably more so.

Do you actually know anything about Saul Alinsky @TBpup ? I read Rules for Radicals. Nothing in that article is remotely close to what he said in that book as I recall.
 
If anyone cared to notice, I said nothing about Alinsky whatsoever, yet that is what many people seem most concerned with. I merely posted an article (knowing where those actual rules came from by the way) and then asked a question. My point was to reference the 8 things listed (which is the vast majority of the article) and then see what happened. Much appreciation to many of the responses as I will be eating dinner for free from a bet I won.

I posted the same list but edited it and applied it to someone else in a different venue. The responses there were equally fascinating.

Legitimate issues, but attributed to someone who didn't say them. Given some of the nonsense posted here daily basis and some posts literally for upping post count or getting attention, it seemed completely normal. Maybe it's preferred if I tweet something and then quote myself? :cheers:

Given this is the OT/political forum, I was genuinely interested in the 8 things listed. That got me into a conversation with someone and it went from there.

I don't think Islam and Scientology should be taught in schools. Since we can't pick favorites as to which religions are taught in school then no religions should be taught in school. Not teaching religion in school will not make us communist.

Not sure what you want. You posted a fake article. When it was pointed out to you, you claimed the source saying it's fake is no good. Which is a bit odd. If you knew the article was fake then why not just admit it? Claiming that the source saying your article is fake seems to suggest you believe it to be true. Then you claim you knew the article is fake but you want to have a legitimate debate about it.

I disagree with your last sentence, but agree about the premise. Which is why I pay too much money for my kids to escape the public school system.

I tried to get input from people in the MEN thread. It could be a troll thread but there are legitimate concerns about the environment and what it is doing to human beings, or maybe more accurately what we are doing to ourselves.

Why don't you explain which of the 8 things in the inaccurate Alinsky quote you agree or disagree with? Tell us that people aren't actively pursuing those goals no matter who came up with them.

And for the record, most engage in a civil debate. Others are just unable to help themselves though.
