How is Giv. Kitzhaber working out?

I'm not ashamed to say I'm too dumb to understand what you just said.

I thought my train of thought was pretty clear. Barfo asked if I was talking about Kitzhaber, and I said no.

Barfo then said that he wasn't sure that true bleeding heart liberals would send people to war. I took that to mean that he didn't have a problem with the other characterizations.
I then showed how every single member of Congress (save Congressman Lee) voted to send people to Afghanistan. Ergo, there are either no bleeding heart liberals in Congress, or barfo can now be sure that they would send people to war.

What exactly did I miss?

Well, it's a fact there are no bleeding heart liberals in Congress. I think that's where things went off track.

I don't know...I think Rep. Lee qualifies as a bleeding heart.

Now I remember why I stopped reading the OT forums.

I would imagine people are against the death penalty because we keep seeing an increasing number of cases where innocent men and women have been convicted for crimes they didn't commit. You can remove a person from jail after a wrongful conviction, but since I'm pretty sure none of you are God (though you do enjoy trying to play it on a message board and in regards to other peoples' rights) sadly we cannot resurrect the wrongfully convicted who have been executed.

Haugen admits to his killing of both people, and witnesses and DNA tie him to the scene of both crimes. What is the point of your post?

Yep. Since Kitzhaber was the thread topic.

Barfo then said that he wasn't sure that true bleeding heart liberals would send people to war.

Nope. That was julius.

I took that to mean that he didn't have a problem with the other characterizations.

I dunno what I can be sure of, other than you are making a silly point. Why is it relevant which congresspeople voted to punish the Taliban, when we are talking about Kitzhaber's view on the death penalty? Seems like you are working awfully hard to change the subject here (which is understandable, I guess, since he's not your governor).

What exactly did I miss?

The topic, and a post attribution.

The point would be that Haugen is not the only guy on death row.

SALEM -- Republicans braced for another four years battling a governor notoriously known as "Dr. No" when Democrat John Kitzhaber won election to a history-making third term.

But as Kitzhaber marks his first anniversary back in office, Republicans appear to be his biggest fans. If there's any frustration with Kitzhaber, it's from Democrats and traditional allies.

Linky.
