I hope every Chinese NBA fan votes for him, because it'll show how much they need to change the process.
Fans currently only have 50% of the voting power to name the all star game starters and don't have any say in the backups. Writers and players each have 25% say in the starters. So even if all of China voted for Hansen it wouldn't account for 50% of the vote for starters, not close to 50% because people can vote for the starter all over the world and then you have the players and media who in all likelihood will give Hansen no votes.

I think the system is pretty good right now.

Of course this person liked your post. How fucking embarrassing would that be if he got voted in.

Not at all, because the all-star game/weekend is a huge embarrassment all by itself. It really doesn't matter if Jokic, Yang, or Daffy Duck gets voted in.

Embarrassing? Please, don't panic on us dude. I'm sure just like back in the days of Zaza Pachulia, Yang's countryman won't go crazy voting for him just because he's in the league. He'll have to do something first. But if he becomes a decent starter a few seasons from now I won't be surprised & no one should feel embarrassed if he receives inordinate amount of votes relative to his talent level. Mediocre stars playing in the bigger markets have benefited from this same dynamic getting inordinate amount of votes just because they play for a bigger fan base. Thats just the way it goes with this system. Hell, few things would please the League's front office more then Yang becoming good and further engaging that huge market... they sure won't be calling foul

Driven by that area 100s of times, going to either Kellogg or Pietro's (both ironically gone). Hell, I was adjacent to that yesterday.

I should check it out.

Sucks Pietro's moved. Damn near walking distance if i want to take a long lunch, but I drive just to save 10 minutes.

I haven't tried a ton of Thai places, but I've tried a few and this place is really good. Definitely try it out.

@THE HCP,

Whoa, you're very negative and slinging falsehoods. Funny how many people in the industry saw what you didn't see. Hansen obviously has skills and ability beyond a typical rookie. He was fantastic and stunning in Vegas and his play in the tough CBA shows he's got many abilities many players never have in their bag.
What did I type that was “negative or false”?

I said I was impressed by his passing and court vision……I said he is not at an allstar level……and I said he won’t play much because CB values defense and will bench some of those who don’t fall into that type. Curious what in those statements would be considered “negative or false” I’ll patiently wait for your reply.

If you are using his “stunning and fantastic” play in Vegas against players who will be playing in Guatemala or Finland next season, that’s on you…..but do me a favor and google Qyntel Woods and get back to us.
One more thing. If I’m not mistaken Jimmer Ferdette averaged something like 38/7/7/3 for 3 years over in China. ‘Nuf said.

So, LBJ is trash, too? He only played against high schoolers coming into the nba. Everyone who thought he'd be great were idiots based on his level of competition?

Hansen is a high variance player, like Joker was. His ceiling is very much a reason for optimism. Of course, he could crash and burn. Blazers will bring him along slowly.

It IS possible to be realistic AND optimistic at the same time, google it. Shit Joe literally just said he will be sending him down to the REMIX this season. This place is crazy, if you don’t think every player on the roster is going to be an allstar or we aren’t going to win 55 games your “negative”!
