right, but if chauncey being here is going to delay the development of the young guys, he needs to be on the first plane outta town. hard for us to truly gauge this without observing practices/shootarounds/etc.I don't think Chauncey is on the hot seat. His ass is still ice old. Cronin ain't going to fire a guy with this roster of rookies, even if he really deserves it.
Blazers had a pre-game special of all the cool stuff Chauncey does for the community when he's not coaching the Blazers. He seems like a very nice person, and that's all Jody Allen needs to see.I think Chauncey is on the hot seat. There's too much talent on this roster to be this bad. They just paid Stotts for two years not to coach...not sure they want to do this again and pay two coaches but they should in my view
This. So much this.I feel like Scoot and Shaedon are setup to fail. With no offensive scheme, Scoot flounders and Shaedon wastes away in the corner far too often rather than keeping him on the move and encouraging passing. Our assists are abysmally low and it is because we have the same offensive scheme (or lack thereof) we had we Dame, everyone stand around until Dame (or now someone else) does something.
I'm finding the Blazers painful to watch.
I'm honestly shocked how close the game was last night and feel like if we had a plan, we could have won but as long as Billups is coach, I expect piss-poor performance.

I was at the game tonight and CB is very animated and up and down court side constantly. Saw him roll his eyes more than once. He isn’t phoning it in.
I’m just going to say it….the dude up there ^bxd or whatever is really stressing me out by not simply typing “AND” and just going with “N”. It’s hurting my brain.
I Hope they didn’t see you take the eggs. Crows are highly intelligent, and if they saw you then I regret to inform you that they are likely planning their revenge. So don’t get too comfortable because eventually I do believe it will be….MURDERI've eaten my crow egg omelettes already. I'm going to cheer for Chauncey to have a winning season
I have stated from the beginning to give him 3 years. I still think he needs a little more than that at this point beings really he only has one true year under him at this point.I've eaten my crow egg omelettes already. I'm going to cheer for Chauncey to have a winning season

You can cheer all you want but if he's giving our young guys enough touches and time to develop, we aren't winning shit. The reason we won the last three and might win again on Sunday is because these guys buy into what Chauncey is teaching them and we have vets backing that up (along with an epic meltdown from Toronto from three which is totally out of character for that team). We're still not good enough that we should be favored in any of the next 17 games after Memphis on Sunday and we might not be favored in that one.I've eaten my crow egg omelettes already. Yeah, I've got to admit, there certainly should be NBA coaches on a hotter seat than Chauncey who should be fired first. The last 2 games, it has felt like this team is establishing a new identity.
Tonight, I was thrilled with how they were defending and the effort.
Chauncy needs to keep the team engaged like this for the rest if the season... but for tonight- Im pleased
There are a lot of ways to define a winning season. Sounds like you're not too stoked about the progress but you can doubt all you want. I'm going to cheer. Your reason for us winning 3 in a row in my view IS a reason to cheer. Buying into what coach is preaching. Can't ask for much more. We're not winning a championship this season but we just may be a playoff team if we keep playing defense. When you say you don't know what I'm looking at, well, that's obvious. I'm looking at how we're winning with defense. I've had Chauncey on the hot seat for a long time now. I've no longer a reason to feel that way. Choices. I've had enough tanking at this pointYou can cheer all you want but if he's giving our young guys enough touches and time to develop, we aren't winning shit. I don't know what roster you think you're looking at but this isn't a playoff or play-in roster, this is a rebuilding roster and it will be further gutted by the trade deadline. Look to the future and expect Chauncey to do the same. He should be judged on where Shaedon and Scoot are at the end of the season compared to the beginning and he should be judged on if the roster as a whole (especially Ayton) is still playing hard and if they've started to play smarter as well. That won't equal a winning record and it probably won't equal more than winning every fourth game.
I see a change in Billups this season. Much more intense and demanding of his players. I think lillard leaving helped free him up to be himself. He couldn't really go after guys for poor defense when he knew the leader of the team played poor defense and he was not really comfortable criticizing him. Also, he knew they were tanking the last two seasons, but this year he really wants to win games. Overall, for me, this is a welcome development. But I'm a little worried he might be overdoing it at times now. Last night it seems he was criticizing Ayton as Ayton walked off the court after a great comeback victory. Bad timing and I also suspect that Ayton is one player who reacts a lot better to positive feedback.
I should say I think he will find a good balance; he is still learning.
