The way he’s playing, he looks like an elite backup, borderline starter. Still relatively young. He’s an odd fit in Portland, meaning I’m not sure we could/should pay him, even if he deserves it. Seems like a valuable trade piece that we can use to balance the roster out a bit.

I agree. I like him as a back up, but he might demand more money than we can afford for a backup.

After watching him start tonight, I have no doubts that the guy would be a 20 ppg scorer if he was a full time starter. Maybe pay him and keep him if CJ is traded. Otherwise, he's still superfluous in the back court.

Collins bazz Lillard CJ Nurkic Moe* (can he take the next step? We need him, he's very important for this team). That's a young core, we need one piece at SF like a Tobias Harris, Barnes type of guy. Let Lillard have a hot streak we gonna win some games in a row

The way he is playing I would expect a team to give an opportunity to get quite a bit of playing time, maybe even start (ala Tim Frazier. ) Let's hope Wade Baldwin IV turns out to be a steal and maybe we can slot him in to Shabazz's place.

Lololol as if Olshey would ever trade CJ.

But yeah I was hoping we’d get Jimmy Butler for him, but the CJ trade scenarios just seem like a fantasy.

Not with the current roster, no.

He's a good player. I like him. But we literally got him for some cash. Are we sure that he's 29.5M better than Wade Baldwin? Or whatever PG is sitting there in the draft? Or whichever throw-in PG we get in return for CJ?

We had to keep Mo and Meyers and Crabbe and ... b/c we didn't have a pipeline of rookie-level talent. Since we have Zach and (maybe?) Swanigan right now, we aren't bent over a barrel when someone offers Noah 4/40 this offseason. We don't have to worry about Ed wanting way more than the MLE. Pat is playing ok...good enough for a 2nd-rounder finally getting minutes on a vet min deal.

Trade is coming, that's a high chance Shabazz be trade in a move. If will be very good for us I do it, but I really wish we can resign with him, he have heart and playing very like Dame.

Who needs a PG that also has a wing available?

Would we be any better with Bazz starting at the point and Dame at the 2?

Only if we had super long talented defenders at the other 3 positions. I think Bazz just fits better off the bench for us currently. He does have a little Isaiah Thomas in him. He's a dog. And he has much better defense than IT.

One way to get Napier more minutes is to just cut Dame and CJs. Those two play so much and have so much responsibility I can’t imagine either would have a problem sacrificing 5 minutes or whatever.

I'm not opposed to that at all, but another team could offer him a contract that just wouldn't make sense for that role.

I think Bazz is a legit starter in this league. Does NY have anything we need? Beasley?

He will get $7M a year or so but we will trade him before deadline. Knicks need both him and Harkless, if they are willing to part with their 2018 pick we will do this.

Just what the team needs, another moody, insecure and inconsistent player.

That's what the blazers have turned the fans into after all these years. Might as well represent us as a team.

Living in Vegas you'd think I'd at least be mildly positive that the Golden Knights are doing good but it just pisses me off that an NHL expansion team is doing better than the only sports team I really care about.

Utah need him. Rubio is a terrible shooter and they are not very happy with him, Exum is always injured.

They have wings to trade - one of Hood and Burks has to go. That is a perfect trade scenario.

It is pretty strange that they're leading their division, and have the 2nd most points in all of the league (tied with LA and St Louis)

Harkless and Napier for TJ Warren? They’d have to add someone like Ulis to make it work financially.

I think there’s a fit there with Phoenix for not only Napier, but a couple of our other players. Leonard, Harkless, maybe even Vonleh. They also have cap space to take on contracts.

As for who we’d be interested from them, TJ Warren, and to a lesser degree Troy Daniels, Monroe/Chandler/Bender.

A Napier and Harkless for Warren and filler (Ulis) works. Warren is playing well but that’s with Booker out.

TJ Warren is shooting 18% from 3pt range. You would need to change the coach first before making that move.

Warren knows his limitations. He barely attempts threes. But he can shoot from midrange, gets easy buckets in the post, and goes to the line.

A starting five of Dame, CJ, Warren, Collins, and Nurk would be balanced. Three shooters, a legit third scorer in Warren, and a pick and roll/defensive center.
