I don't disagree that Simons isn't going to be near the caliber of Curry next year in terms of strength and experience. I just don't see any way that the Blazers can afford Curry, or that it would make good career sense for Seth to stay with the Blazers. Olshey may have to find someone who can sign for the vet's minimum to be the experienced backup, but Simons needs more minutes to develop. If we get Hood, and if we're still stuck with ET's last year, ET is going to be the principle playmaker on the second unit anyway.
