How do go fund me's interact with the CBA?There. must. be. a. way.
I have faith that he will be a Blazer next season.There. must. be. a. way.
I mentioned this before....the path to playoffs and all star nods for a guy like him is Charlotte...I'm sure he wants what Dame and CJ have here....Simons will fill that role going forward.....the only way to keep Enes is to talk him into a short term deal with a promise after a year of a hefty raise. It doesn't hurt that Ron Wyden has been working with him and attending the games...Enes can find a way to make it work.I doubt it is about 'letting' Curry go. Kemba is out in Charlotte and could have money to spend. Curry is from there and I can see Jordan wanting to put a friendly face on the court who won't be too expensive but certainly more than Portland can pay.
Likely won't happen. As long as we get rid of aminu. He is number 1 guy that we gotta get rid off
I'd like to keep Kanter, but with Nurkic coming back eventually, I'd rather they use any cap tricks they can to keep Seth Curry and/or Rodney Hood. Guards/wings who can shoot and hang in defensively are more important than post-up centers--especially when the Blazers already have one who will be back.
Playing Nurk and Enes together? We will need Kanter for the first few months while Nurk is rehabbing.
I do think trying to do a lot of maneuvering to try to sign an 18MPG backup is somewhat the wrong direction to take. However, Kanter has embraced the team, and having him back for one year is definitely something I think both parties would be interested in. There's no long term commitment in case Kanter wants to be starter somewhere else, and we can try to run it back with a fully healthy squad.
Also, I wonder if there may be the ability to play both on the floor at the same time. We would dominate the offensive glass and absolutely abuse smaller teams in the paint. It won't work for every matchup, but I can definitely see it working in others and will give Kanter a bigger role than that 18 minute backup.
If Rui drops down to us, then wow, just wow I'd love that.I feel like the draft will be super important. There is much less star potential beyond top 3 but I feel this is the draft where you can get an adequate role player who will contribute straightaway in late first. I have seen PJ Washington, Rui Hachimura and Keldon Johnson all projected around where we would pick. Those would be good catches.
If you look at all top teams across the league they have contributors who they picked late in the draft. We need a Siakam or a Brogdon to elevate our rotation to a new level.
If I read this right, there are 4 teams with cap space:
https://www.spotrac.com/nba/cap/2019/
1 one those is NYK, who won't be making an offer to Kanter.
Do people think the Suns, Mavs, or Hawks want Kanter? I don't think so.
Do they want Hood????
They certainly don't want Curry.
If (non-top tier) FAs are willing to take midlevel, there will be competition for their services, otherwise there won't be.
Indiana, Utah, Brooklyn, LA Clippers, LA Lakers, Philadelphia, Chicago, New Orleans, Denver, and Sacremento will/could have serious cap space this summer. If I read this right, there are 4 teams with cap space:

Itd start in 2021.Not trying to hijack this thread, but aren't we going to pay Dame the supermax? Will that count for the upcoming season or the season after?
How will that impact the other contracts? I believe we have 1 more year of Moe, E.T. and M.L.

Thanks, I was hoping someone would help me understand the cap situation better.I think you are reading that incorrectly
you first have to sort for "practical cap-space":
New York Knicks $72,910,109
Los Angeles Clippers $59,661,930
Brooklyn Nets $54,649,410
Dallas Mavericks $52,157,844
Atlanta Hawks $49,011,669
Indiana Pacers $48,834,149
Los Angeles Lakers $41,772,353
Philadelphia 76ers $41,237,262
Sacramento Kings $37,218,991
Phoenix Suns $25,243,822
Chicago Bulls $23,827,083
Orlando Magic $23,548,419
New Orleans Pelicans $16,872,054
Utah Jazz $16,780,097
practical cap-space is just guaranteed money without accounting for cap-holds
for instance, LAC has 59.6M in cap-space that is wiped out by their cap-holds:
Wilson Chandler $19,200,843
JaMychal Green $14,946,667
Garrett Temple $12,000,000
Patrick Beverley $9,551,351
Ivica Zubac $1,931,189
they could easily renounce Chandler and Temple leaving them with around 30M in cap-space
other teams will have similar circumstances where their range goes from 0 to 25M in space depending on what player(s) they are willing to renounce. They can also quickly sign a player cancelling a cap-hold. The Clippers could re-sign Chandler for 6M and still have 24M in space
