SA vs Phoenix. A Spurs home game game win puts us up 6 games in the loss column. This is big (Since i think we lose Monday night against the Lakers.) Go SpurssSSSSSSSSSSSSS. Go Pop! Bitch early and often and get your normal BS calls.

How can any self-respecting Blazers fan go into a home game with the Lakers thinking we're going to lose?! Get a grip man! Even when we were awful we KTA at home. Don't you remember Ha Seung Jin's career game?

Fans like you make me sick. Legit.

Explain? Seems to me he is just thinking logically. It's obvious LA is a better team, they probably should win the game against us. If we win thats awesome, but chances are slim.

The last four years are explanation enough.

If I thought a beaver fan could actually afford to pay up on a bet I would wager $50 right now on Monday night. (LOL)

Seriously I do not feel good about this win since we had their number lately in the Rose Garden. Go ahead and pop off and we will talk after the game. i hope to hell i am wrong!

This is not logic. The Lakers have beaten us in the Rose Garden once in the last 7 years. That's right, through our shittiest strectch of basketball in the franchise's history, they've beaten us once at home. That is illogical.

who cares i'm not looking at the last few years. Is our team this year or there team the exact same? No. Look at the records this year, and look at how we have played against the lakers this year, they have beaten us in both games by double digits. It is logic to think they will beat us.

And you can say oh but we beat them when we sucked, who gives a shit. The Lakers are a better team than us this year, they should beat us.

Take me to Vegas with you and i will show you how it works. Combine Law of avergae, rest , the best team in the NBA and that equals a Lakers win. AS I SAID.....Hope to hell i am wrong. But I am rarely wrong.

Well, there's no point in arguing with you. The point is, yes they SHOULD beat us, but history says they won't. Sig it.

You have a decent chance of beating the lakers, but it's not the end of the world if you lose. They are the best road team in the NBA, after all.

Overall, perhaps they are a better team. However, we are a better home team (26-5) than they are a road team (21-8), so when taking the significance of the location into account, I think it's illogical to say that they should beat us.

Because I can take off my rose colored glasses and see how it is? The homer in you makes me lol

There's a difference between Rose Colored Glasses and being a fan in name only. I'm a homer because I hope and expect the Blazers to beat the snot out of the Lakers on Monday? I hope and expect the Blazers to beat the snot out of EVERY team they play every night. That's what a fan does. They check their "logic" at the door and throw every shread of emotion and will into helping the team that he/she roots for to either take care of business against a lesser opponant or rise up and beat a superior squad. If they lose, you lick your wounds and come back the next game with the same energy and intensity. I did it during the late 70s Championship years, I did it through the mediocre 80s, I did it through the oh-so-close early 90s years, I did it through the once-again mediocre mid to late 90s, I did it through the JailBlazers years, and I'm doing it now.

If you go into watching a Blazers game with the attitude that they are going to lose, why the fuck are you watching the game in the first place unless you are a closet Laker fan or just a frontrunner that roots for the Blazers when it's convenient? I'd expect you to don a Kobe jersey if the Lakers won on Monday for all the "Blazer Fan" you represent.

It's too bad you don't get to define what being a fan is:crazy:

:biglaugh::biglaugh:

you know nothing about me or how big of a fan I am and quite frankly I don't even care to explain myself to you

We're a MUCH better team at home than we are on the road. It is illogical to think the Lakers will come into the Rose Garden and beat us. At Staples? Sure. But not at the Garden. Ask the Spurs, Celtics, Rockets, Suns, Jazz, etc how easy it is to win in our building.

Learn the game, then post.

No one said it was going to be easy, I certainly don't think it will be easy. But as I glance through the remaining
schedule, I don't think we will all 10 homes games. I think we may lose A game. (Maybe even two) And the game I think we lose is Monday night. I was joking about Vegas. I seldom bet. But if I had to bet my life on choosing the winner of that game. My gut says the Lakers. So shoot me. And Go Spursssssssssssssssss

But you said we were going to win easily @ Denver, and Blake was going to get 25 & 10?

Making a prediction about a game in which you take the underdog does not make an unlearned fan.

I agree the Blazers will likely handle LA, but your pollyanna predictions are getting silly.

The homer in me wants the Suns to win, so Portland is closer to catching the Spurs.

The realist in me says that is just silly; Portland won't catch San Antonio, even if the Spurs drop this game, and others like it.

You are no Blazer fan. You make me sick.

The latter part of your post is fine, but... What the heck... just because he thinks that the Blazers are going to lose Monday means he isn't a Blazer fan? Huh? So in order to be a fan you must predict the Blazers to win every game?

Look, you are a good Blazer fan, and you have your own definition of a fan, but you acting like you get to define what makes a fan and how big of a fan someone is, is simply silly. If someone else has a different definition of a fan, and doesn't want to "check their logic at the door", that doesn't make them any less of a fan.

Anyway... I want the Blazers to win and will keep my hopes up until the final whistle blows, but if someone put a gun to my head and asked me to pick the winner, i'd say the Lakers. And I consider myself a pretty big Blazer fan. As for the Suns/Spurs game, I'm definitely rooting for San Antonio, to make sure we get a better cushion between us and PHX. Other than that, we just have to take care of business and get wins in order to move up in teh standings... we control our own destiny in that regard, imo. 11-9 is all we have to do to finish with 50 wins. Wow, what an awesome year.

Jazz beat the Raptors today, putting them ahead of Denver momentarily. Lets hope the Kings can do a miracle and beat the Nuggets tonight.

On a side note, has there been a more disappointing NBA team this year than the Raptors?
