Might be uninhabitable two months from now...Another thing is that I'm likely moving there in 2 months for biology research work. Could be a weird scene to step into.
Wildlife will still need to be researched and protected.Might be uninhabitable two months from now...
Just talking about infrastructure..Wildlife will still need to be researched and protected.
100% feel you on that. Most of the research sites are down by Port St Joe, which is going to get destroyed. That place and Apalachicola are going to get absolutely obliterated.Just talking about infrastructure..
Research me. I've led a wild life.Wildlife will still need to be researched and protected.
Did your family leave yet...? If not Governer said it's too late now.. but Im not sure he's right..View attachment 22680
These were the sites I monitored last time I was over there. The shorebirds will be fine. But the roads might not even connect after all of this.
I don't get it.Whatever the NWS calls it, it still is going to cause misery. View attachment 22682
They were planning on leaving this morning, but with the road conditions already dangerous, they are hunkering down in their place. Interestingly enough, the official hurricane shelter is a high school that is 2 blocks away from their place. There is no guarantee of safety going through a severe hurricane. But, their section of neighborhood is one of the more safer places in that area.Did your family leave yet...? If not Governer said it's too late now.. but Im not sure he's right..

More people are killed by the storm surge than the wind. Why's it safer? Safer from storm surge?
