I am trying think who Oregon can hire who will actually make a difference.... Les Miles? They need somebody who can rebuild a program. Of course, I'm sure there will be Ducks fans out there who say we need to hire someone with Oregom connectuons and build from within.... That's what Duck fans do.

Chip would be nice to have back.

Other than that, we need to focus on getting someone like a Harbaugh. We need a hard ass that'll change the culture.

Maybe Greg Schiano?

My guess it will come down to money. Anybody we get will want extra because this is a hard place to recruit and the expecations are high. But if promps a complete coaching staff turnover it's worth it. The recruiting is hard but it''s totally gone down the shitter the last few years. Kelly's "we can with you or without you" shtick wasnt subtle but it was effective. There are coaches at Oregon not even getting the underecruited players we once thrived on. The Internet and Satellite Camps (which we do what one a year?) have totally changed that. They are getting their asses handed to them in more ways in one. And I'm fucking sick of the "Well.... we don't have major airport" or "the weathers lousey" as this catch all excuse from fans with their head in the mud. Altman got better recruiting classes the moment he stepped on campus. It starts at the top.

Seriously, make Chris Peterson an offer he can't refuse.

USC was able to lure a coach away from WA. Uncle Phil is going to be 80yrs old next year. He will pay for results.

I could see Miles stepping in. Personally I'd like to see you keep the current guy so he can have a willingham-esque impact on the program.
 
Well.... Cubs are up on 3 the Giants so there's always that.
