Hypothetical: What is the most you would give up for Cousins?

Cousins is better than LaMarcus Aldridge. So if we upgrade that position, then we can upgrade the role players.

I think we could put together a long term competitive team with a trade and neil working some free agent madness. It'll probably take CJ and Vonleh to start, I'd prefer to keep Ed Davis.

Wonder if its possible to trade for Cousins then go for Harrison Barnes or DeRozan in FA this summer. Would be a pretty strong lineup for sure.

I wouldn't do any trade but I would consider one of Harkless or Henderson and one of Davis or Plumlee

Depends on the direction for Sacramento. I imagine they're not likely to just look for the collection of draft picks Boston is likely to give up. They've been doing that for years.
I wouldn't really want to move cj for him. I imagine that's what it'd take though. Anything else, sure. Plumlee, Vonleh, crabbe

Cousins would be great but Paul George would be a whole lot better!

tbh, I think Rice would hit 'Boogie' over the head with a baseball bat if he thought he could get away with it.

The Lakers would be nice.

They don't have the juice. Russell isn't as NBA-ready as people thought, and the Kings have Rondo. I don't think Randle is enough of a star to get Sac to pull the trigger.

I like it. Subtle way of improving our team.

Build around Meyers and Cousins. Two man game, Cousins low post, Meyer's behind the 3 point line. Other 3 players are there just to pass the ball and set screens. Its the evolved Ranadive offense.

It's just interesting how CJ was a throw in for deals just two months ago. Now we're hesitating in giving him up for a young, all star big man.

Testament to CJ's improvement and Boogie's decline.

el prez is right, CJs trade value is at its peak and Boogies is bottoming out. In the trade lined up though, we give up way too much defense and depth imo

I'd rather ply Boban from the Spurs bench or Vucevic from Orlando and give up much less depth

LeBron James trade value is also bottoming out.

Dealing CJ/Leonard/Davis wouldn't hit us that hard. Slide Crabbe to the starting two spot, give Kaman some minutes and play Boogie at power forward.

If Sac is trading their big, then they need a big in return to play along side Willie Cauley Stein. Leonard makes sense to me

So Leonard, Aminu, Henderson, and Vonleh would be my offer.
I bet they would want Crabbe or CJ, but I would say no.

Last year, I was all for it. This year, I kinda don't want him and his attitude. Same reason I wouldn't want Rondo on the Blazers under any circumstances. He may be talented, but he may also be toxic. Not worth it.

Our future chances of having a cohesive team... thats what you would give up to bring in Cousins.

Thats exactly what I wanted to say. For some reason, people get blinded by stats. I'm not sure if people think Portland is "different" or that Damian can "put the reigns" on him,but the guy is a tool. A tool is a tool is a tool.

Let someone else try to fix him.
