I just checked it out, the cheapest copy is like $250.

Further down the list it shows it for $16.95

Strange for some reason the 4 listed for $250 plus say they were published in 1900...im pretty sure I'm not that old...wait i'm a vampire

You mean "IT"?
What?

I'm just wondering if this is gonna be a story I can relate to. I guess gangbangs do have some sort of "IT" factor.

Well if I ever write a collection of gang bang stories, you will be the first to know

The book, IT. By Steve King. It's got the sewer. It's got elementary schoolers. I don't remember a gangbang, but there is a syphilitic hobo giving out bjs under the front porch.

They are out of stock at Powell's Bookstore, but Annie Blooms has a copy

And who is this Steve character you speak of?

I have a summer home there, cheap property taxes, and the water sports are great.

I have finished writing my book, 'The Black Elephant' which is a collection of poetry about coming to terms with the deaths of my brother and father, and about the concept of death itself. I have been showing my manuscript to several close friends who urged me to get it published, and I have decided to do so. Wish me luck.

Good luck, partner!

Hey Chris - I have had 17 books published. If you need any help with contracts, or info about the tough publishing biz, shoot me a DM. My stuff is non-fiction, so it's a bit different, but still relevant.

Black Box

They tore the black box from

my skull

The found the wreckage finally

at the bottom of my stomach

Sunken in the ocean

of my grief

Your death is stuck on repeat

they won't stop watching

I can hear the screams of my adult self

The child inside me

is a blind mute

with no face

just skin

You can see me

through your dead

eyes

Your noose laughs at me

The lasso of it

treats your death like a

rodeo

Then I stand over

your cut down body

turning blue

smoke a cigarette

and tear at my tongue

to stop the screaming

I Too Have Died

Hemingway too walked into the sunset

He took an alloy pill

for his aliment

witnessed cacophonous poetry

Crane dived into the ocean of

his soul

Swam for his dreams

always a breast stroke away

Woolf filled her pockets

with demons

took them with her

to the peaceful river bed

where salmon

go to church on Sunday

Plath

Breathed the poisonous fumes

of dinners hot companion

gassy LSD

whose only hallucinations are reality

and pot roast

Thompson got to old

"counselor"

"This wont hurt"

I wish he'd stop bitching

Reverse Cancer

The chemicals

seep slowly

Crawling from the deep crevices of your alveoli

Out of your singed bronchi

Snake up your trachea

in wisps of dark grey

You exhale fifty years’ worth

plumes of necrotic smoke

Your lips part

Slowly at first

Then unhinge with your jaw

as the great form issues outward

like a demon escaping from your depths

into the tube

Where the cigarette

and you

become whole again

1. You should write some poetry about dogs. Preferably playing poker.

2. Why aren't you winning the caption contest? You're a very good writer.

The above are three poems out of my book.

I think you may be an F person working withing your character type and strength set. Very good.
How did you find your publisher?
Did he give you an estimate of the projected number of sales?
Did it cost you to get it published?

If you prefer not to answer, understood.

For my Poetry Book. I'm still shopping it. Haven't gotten that far with it yet. I can tell you I am looking at publishers who aren't going to charge me to publish it out of pocket. I just got to make sure I don't screwed on the back end.

My first book didn't go all to well. I signed with a publisher where I had to do all of the marketing. I was young and I struggled with it. I am trying to find one that can help with some of that this time around.
