Joe Johnson avg win share for his career is .037
you need to trade for stars in the league if you want to compete. or draft top 3. role players come last.
Look, if Brian Wheeler does read this board then he should know that deals like this or the #6 for Lowry or for Millsap are beyond bad for POR....
Millsap\Johnson\LA and Batum (and likely paying luxury tax) is not a championship team...it is one thing to be optimistic in nature iof you work for the organization it is quire another to be a complete homer....
Blazer fans are not stupid Wheels....
This.
If you think Milsap or Lowry are going to turn things around you're in denial.
They (radio guys/bloggers) overlook the new CBA.
By suggesting Joe Johnson for the picks he lost any credibility he had left.
Apparently the management aren't the only ones in total denial about this roster.
lotto picks are historically likely to be worse than that.
I love Wheels, one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet... but I don't like this trade idea.
See who is there at 6, grab BPA. If you get a big at 6 (Drummond), go for a PG at 11. If you get a guard at 6, go big at 11 (Zeller).
i think he meant bpa at 6, but i say bpa with ALL PICKS ALWAYS
We need big and small.
If we could get Joe Johnson's career to date for our lottery pick(s), then that's one thing. But we can't.
We can get the current and future Joe Johnson, who isn't all that good.
Coupled with his salary and the state of the rest of the roster, I think it would be a disastrously short-sighted move to acquire Joe Johnson for a deal including our lottery picks.

Brandon Roy was available at #6. Just sayin'
I agree... and I don't see why we'd only need one of each.
