It cost me about $1500. Not a few bucks. And I'm unemployed.Uhhh, I don't think an actor spending a few bucks on going to a game or two is a huge sacrifice.

I wasn't giving him grief. He was right both times. I was dead wrong on the Orlando deal. And the other bet was his idea. Just complimenting him for owning me.You do realize that you have now shown that he gets grief either way... How exactly is that fair to him and make him want to do it?
In other words. Stop with the bet talk. No more. This will be your warning.

That's what I thought. Waste of money then...how much money you got in the bank and how much residual money? It cost me about $1500. Not a few bucks. And I'm unemployed.
I probably have less than most of you but I get by.That's what I thought. Waste of money then...how much money you got in the bank and how much residual money?
I know it is personal but without that info your sacrifice is unknowable.

What are you freaking out about? I was saying BonesJones was right! If he stuck with the bet he initially made, he'd have $50. He would've won the Orlando bet too!
Wait, @HCP gets called out for not being positive enough on his season prediction. @KingSpeed gets called out for being too positive on a couple of playoff road games.
Big deal if King was wrong, he put out good money to see the Blazers shit the bed in NO. Much respect.

Apples to oranges. Spending money on a game is a different topic than making guarantees that dont pan out and then twisting into someone else being wrong.
I'm not a working actor. I had about $0 in my account after I paid for this trip. Then got a residual check so I get by.Your an actor I dont make that kind of money
I didn't drop it like it was nothing. I dropped it like it was everything.Somehow I doubt that. I doubt many of us could just drop 1500 like it's nothing.
Not really. King traveled to support his team, not understanding why people would give him shit for that.
Look you can't really hold him to that guarentee...it was just him being a fan and trying to lift morale. He had no control over the Blazers actually winning or losing. He probably should have stated all this after the loss yesterday and offered an apology, but whatever. Im not going to hold a grudge
I am not a mod to compare this to myself as one, but this seems over the top for one to me. It is like you are equating it to our one major rule we have here and this isn't that (even close) at all.

Exactly. For believing in the team?Apologize for what?
I bet that he won't. Not that there's anything wrong with it. You're threatening to ban him?
calm down
What does King have to "admit" though? He "believed harder" and "guaranteed" something anyone with two brain cells knows he had no control over. Including him. His "guarantee" was the hyperbole of a die hard fan. What's he supposed to say? "Hey Everyone. In case you didn't know, the Blazers didn't win one of the games in New Orleans. So my prediction about something I had no control over didn't happen. Sorry I failed you?"I don't have a problem (at all) with King posting these threads. In fact, I even approve of them. But if you are wrong, step up and admit it after. Just like you would if you were right. Saying someone else was right is not the same as coming out and manning up that you were wrong. We all have misses. It happens. No reason to worry about it if you handle it right.
Precisely. What does King have to "admit" though? He "believed harder" and "guaranteed" something anyone with two brain cells knows he had no control over. Including him. First I am not the one that assumed ban. Second, I not sure what "only warning" accomplishes. That means there is something more than a warning next time? What would that be? Third even those who break the cardinal rule in here get many more than only 1 warning. Fourth, there have been plenty of bets in here. I have paid @SlyPokerDog 120 bucks on a lost bet before. Bets aren't against any rules. Once again, I not a mod so take this with a grain of salt but I think the whole post was better left unwritten, in any form.Never said ban. Just said it's his only warning. I have no reason to ban @KingSpeed . Those were implications some have made, which was partly my fault for not laying it out word for word.
I didn't drop it like it was nothing. I dropped it like it was everything.
