I guess Kobe has quite a bit of gas left in the tank.

He's earning a bit of my respect. Despite all the injuries and the miles on his legs, he's playing like a top 3 player in the league. Incredible.

Go Bulls!

Total jinx thread!!!! :D!

Awesome awesome finish. Derrick Rose rules. I love this game!!

That wasn't a choke really. He jus got blocked. Nowhere to go.

OK, then he should at least watch the Rose clip...you know, to get a refresher in game-winners. Oh, Kobe knows how, alright. The talents may be fading (or injured), though.

A last minute collapse by the Lakers on national TV makes my Christmas wish list complete. I received everything I wanted!!! I can already see the slow burn coming from camp Kobe...

GO BLAZERS!

God I love this game! For those that say they only watch Blazer games..... it just blows me away!

Big time choke job by the Lakers! 11 point lead with under 4 minutes to go.

I especially liked the 8 turnovers (Kobe's on pace to lead the league in something, at least) and -7.

Steve Blake 12 points.

KoMe should have got the ball to either BLANKY or McBob in the last minute. Both were beasting today for the Lakers. That turnover by Bryant with 15 seconds left was hilarious. He got caught in the air like a rookie, and then he got swatted by an obviously fat Luol Deng at the end of the game.

Did Deng work at Duncan over the lockout? His arms were even soft.

He didn't handle the trap well and turned the ball over. Then when he had 4 defenders on him he should have dumped the ball into the corner where Blake was wide open. Kobe was not clutch and the Lakers will not be even close to an elite team his year.

The L*kers start the season with a back to back to back. Shouldn't we wait to talk about how much gas is left in Kobe's tank until after a couple of more games instead of the 3rd qrt of the first game of the year?

Denny has XMas bills to pay, and you're trying to stifle anti-KoMe rants?

The Lakers are so going to suck this year. Can't wait.

Just the opposite, I think it was too early to start swinging off of Kobe's jock strap.

Damn, I wish I had kept watching the game. The Lakers are winless, people!

I still think that Kupchak has a plan to add some significant talent to the roster. My best guess: KMart gets signed in March with the $9 mil traded player exception.

Don't crow too loudly yet. The Bulls are supposed to be a top team, the Lakers were without Bynum (now their main player) and the Bulls still had to rally to win by 2.

What is LA giving Denver?

They screwed up dumping Odom for nothing, there's no magic fix.

God, I hope they waste their money on KMart. He's been a below average, injury plagued, NBA player for at least five NBA seasons. He missed 34 games last season, 24 the year before that, 16 the year before that and 11 the year before that. Notice a pattern?

He turns 34 in 4 days. The Lakers already have 8 guys on their roster 31 and older.

Yeah, I'd love to see them waste their trade exception on Kenyon Martin. But, I'm afraid they they may actually find someone useful instead.

Denver gets nothing. KMart is a UFA and the Lakers have a $9 mil traded player exception that can be used to sign a player even though they're over the cap.

You may be right. From what I saw in a report I just read on his China experience, he wasn't very productive. Apparently he's reached a buy-out agreement with his China club and has returned to the US looking for a new contract. Somebody will give him a shot, but probably not at anywhere near $9 mil.
