I hate Von Wafer because we had him last year and now he's owning every time he touches the ball.
The guy shoots the lights out and we never even gave him a shot.

At this point, I'd rather have him shooting for us than Travis, or Sergio, or Frye, or fuck, all of our bench except Oden and Rudy.

von wafer is that dude and I knew it as soon as I saw him play in the preseason. I don't know how teams didn't recognize this guys talent.....

Yeah, I said last year that we needed to play him more, I knew he had something to prove...he's got the "attitude" that we so desperately need in some of our guys.

The problem with Von Wafer is that the Blazers don't attack him, and that makes him look great, because he never has to defend. Attack him and make him defend somebody, and then he doesn't look so good anymore.

I hate Von Wafer because he didn't go to Nate's room at 3 am like Jack used to to "earn" more playing time. He would look good on this roster.....LOL then again Nate would never have played him.

I also hate Von Wafer because he has a total of four passes in this series. Not assists ... passes.

The only thing worse than a ballhog is a ballhog who sucks and thinks he doesn't.

I find Wafer annoying but thats because he's on the other team.. He honestly reminds me of what Bayless will do for us IMO. And we wont find him annoying.

Whenever I hear his name I get immediately shot back to my childhood and think of:

Then I think to myself, "It's probably a good thing they never called him Victor Von Wafer. That would've been a tough sell."

Anyway, yeah, the guy is an utter douche. But you probably would be too if you had a name that starts so cool and ends so terribly.

His hair cut is G, and he is a fucking gangster. He's mucking it right now, good for him.

This is really pathetic. What's next--dissing the Rockets' cheerleaders and their mascot--and then doing a group hug??

we're not doing ourselves any favors with these types of threads.

I give some credit to Rick Adleman, he's always had this weird knack of finding ways of plugging odd-fitting pieces together into a cohesive whole and getting the most out of one-dimensional players. I mean for chrissakes he's got Artest (mostly) playing within a system.

Huh?

Please don't tell me you think this will somehow become bulletin board material.

Yeah, I'm sure the Rockets players are perusing this forum.

Give me a fucking break.

Seriously, who besides 150 or so diehard Blazer fans do you think read this forum?

Shooter/Talkhard never allows himself to have any fun. He somehow thinks we, as fans, have to subscribe to the same mantra as players when it comes to "respect your opponent."

Personally, I've always believed our opponent can go fuck themselves in a blackberry patch. If you are trying to put my team in a bad situation, I'm going to hate you. Plain and simple.

Do you even bother to check your facts before posting?

Yup.

Its hard for me to hate on the rockets. They play well and are a good, well-coached team.

When I think of Wafer, I don't hate him. Instead, I get really annoyed at KP/Nate. Nate says he didn't keep Wafer not because of his talent, but because he didn't fit the timeline of the rest of the team.

This is STUPID. Wafer was born in 1985 - he's 23 (24 in July), and we threw him away.

Wafer > Webster > Frye

He's also played much better than Outlaw, who also is given a "License to Shoot."

p.s. I hate the haircut, too.

Better than Webster?

Now thats a stretch.

Kinda funny, but Wafer has 3 times as many assists as Travis in this series, in half the playing time. If you thought Outlaw was a chucker before it's pretty disturbing that he's made Wafer look like Steve Nash in this series.

Not a stretch. I think the sense with Webster is that he WILL be better and that Wafer is as good as he's going to be.
Higher ceiling or no, Wafer's better today, even if Webster were available for the playoffs.

Outlaw must be a mega ballhog then.
