And then we flip Hayward and 2 for Zion.

Williams is going be good center. He young with massive wing span and going be real good rim protector. Hayward good quality player but have history of injuries.

Some interesting tidbits that could support Wiz's theory:

• There's no reports of Dame being at the Miller workout, but he was at the Scoot and Thompson workouts.
• We are releasing measurement data on Scoot.
• We are releasing reports about Dame and Scoot talking.
• Lots of rumors about Scoot for Zion.
• There hasn't been much smoke at all about how Miller did here.

If we really liked Miller, and basically the reports have been that Charlotte wants Miller since the day of the lottery, we would have to really maneuver to try to convince Charlotte that Scoot is the better option.

However.... we might also be doing all these things to try to drive up the value on a Scoot trade.

Charlotte has brand new majority owners but Jordan is in charge of the draft. But you know he has people looking over his shoulders. There is uncertainty in Charlotte...lots of it

---> shortly after that, it becomes 'apparent' that Portland is almost ecstatic to be getting Scoot---> and it turns out that Dame & Scoot have been talking for weeks---> so yeah, Portland is snickering about getting the 2nd best player in the draft

---> Charlotte sees all that and because of uncertainty and division, they re-visit their decision..."did you see how happy the Blazers are to be getting Scoot; are we fucking up?"

---> so being wishy-washy and easily manipulated, Charlotte decides that Portland has done a better job of evaluation then they have. So they decide on Scoot

---> which was the point of the Portland leaks yesterday because they really prefer Miller over Scoot

Anfernee is one of Chauncey's guys. He's also Lillard's prodigy. The Blazers are not benching a 25m guard. I have doubts they will trade Simons. Portland has burned through 4 SG's (Trent, Powell, CJ, Josh) just to develop Ant's career.

If we see him slacking on defense, not hustling for rebounds... so what? He's young, and is a volume 3-point shooter. A prized NBA commodity. Therefore Ant is automatically excused from playing D.

Thanks for the background. It explains so much. I was at a Nuggets/Blazers game courtside and Joe was surrounded by people wearing Eaton HS stuff (a HS in Northern CO) who were treating him like they were related. I guess they were.

But trading up for whom....Scoot? Trading up for Miller? If they are trading up to actively get Scoot, that can't thrill Dame.

Unless, it's to guaranty the ability to trade for Zion.
