a little upsetting

He traded Kyrie Irving for Mo Williams.

Well, they both won player of the week twice this season, so sounds fair.

Nobody knew the pick would become #1, and his owner was Donald sterling. I seem to remember it being a money driven trade

I believe LAC only had the 6th best odds to win the lottery. The pick was promised before they even knew that though. Traded at deadline or year before I think.

One thing we learned this season is that Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love are in a class about 5 levels beneath LeBron James. Before this season, they were all considered top stars.

So Olshey's trade now looks only very bad. A year ago, it looked world-ending bad. Give it another year and it may look only bad.

Clips traded Baron Davis and pick to Cleveland for Mo Williams. That pick ended up being #1 pick. Olshey was trying to get rid of Davis.

When a team is trying to get rid of a player, they rarely get value as far as talent. Everyone knows they want to dumb the guy and therefore they can't drive a hard bargain.

So if I sold you a lottery ticket for $1 and it ended up winning 1 million, I am an idiot?

I think this was a big reason Olshey left the Clippers despite having Paul, Griffin, and Jordan. I doubt he leaves if Ballmer would have been the owner. Dont see Ballmer caring about a few million dollars.
