....just for kicks.
Have any of you done this?
I order from these apps a lot.
A lot of couples do it together so one of them hops in and out of the car and the other leaves the car running.
What fun!!
I've seen whole families chilin in the car. lol
Jon does it, too. He seems to appreciate it and seems to be having fun interacting with customers and finding new interesting restaurants.
As a customer my experience has not been great. We regularly have missing items to the point where I am sure the drivers are just taking what they want because there is no accountability. I go through the missing item credit and get my money back but all my tips and fees were based off a bigger order and they dont change, never mind that we still need some food and Im sure the restaurant ends up eating the cost. It always ruins the night for someone when this happens and its happened enough that we have stopped using these types of services because we cant rely on them.

I've gotten full meal refunds on multiple instances. In LA sometimes it takes over an hour.
I use doordash mainly for pickup nowadays.
This is precisely why I do Uber and Lyft, but avoid the food delivery. I'd rather have conversations with people that I'm transporting rather than just bring them meals. Plus it pays much better.I work from home. On the phone most of the day. I thought to myself, "ya know what? This might be a cool way to get some live interaction with folks in my community."
I'm a people person, dangit!!
Call the restaurant and pick it up directly or ask if they have their own delivery. The delivery services take a chunk of each purchase that really screws the restaurant
THIS!
App is easier. I try more new spots via what's convenient on the app map
unfortunately most just go through some drive service for "convenience", even linked off of their website. I usually just drive myself to pick up, to avoid them taking a hitTHIS!

Never had food delivered besides pizza here at home. Use Uber eats all the time on the road. Hotel where the cheapest meal is $85, with no car..... it’s the only way.Yep. If I can do it myself, I'll do it. Not paying someone $4 dollars and THEN tipping them for doing something I can do myself. That, and restraunts take a hit on every order.
Ride shares make sense... food delivery doesn't. Just do it yourself.

If you meant me, I can confirm.
I’ve been doing grubhub for over two years now and doordash for a few months. I primarily do grubhub but I work both of them to maximize active working time.
I would certainly recommend it, especially if it’s just part time for some extra money. It can be a lot of driving, not for everyone for that reason.
What better way to interact with people than to give them the food they ordered. BTW: What is your percentage and what is the pay scale?I work from home. On the phone most of the day.
