CJ is still an unknown but I could see Blake and Mo playing well together. Both can play either guard position.

It would mean dumping Crabbe but I think we'd be better.

You don't dump Crabbe. That shit sticks around FOREVER.

Or trade Cj, Freeland and others for something

You're barking up the wrong tree. There are a scant few minutes for the THREE backup shooting guards on the team as is, and all of the backup PG minutes have been taken.

Blake played:

53 games 2011-12
45 games 2012-13
55 games 2013-14

We might need extra pg on the roster.

This post is silly. CJ is going to have to play pretty bad to equal what Mo Williams achieved for the Blazers last season. CJ's success shouldn't be based on his point per game average because we have Kaman who in his worst, has been a double digit scorer along with a more polished version of Will Barton and a vet in Steve Blake. The second unit ONLY consisted of Mo Williams who can score.

CJ will easily better Mo from last season.

If it was a fantasy league; hell yes.

But being a team where everyone needs to buy into their roles and accept playing time given to them then no! Adding Mo, or any legit backup PG, to the current roster would harm team chemistry.

I would much rather sign and trade Mo to DAL for Marion (if that is possible) and then cut or trade one of our young guys.

Olshey burned Mo. Like Hickson 2 years ago, Mo was stalling out in the wilderness so Olshey could do his business. But this time, Olshey revved up the car and raced out of the desert, stranding Mo.

Which dark board? Is he making it with TrueBlueFan again?

after watching Crabbe for two games cut his ass and sign mo.

Mo will play more if he goes to Houston and with Lin gone it's almost a perfect situation for him.

Seems like the Blazers only offered Mo the BAE. I thought we could have offered more?

I think if we did that I would prefer to sign a young PG who can sit behind Blake and learn for a season. (Unless there is an injury) Someone who impresses in summer league and gets an invite to the fall camp.

I still don't think Mo is a good option for next year's team if they want to grow. Maybe he mentors the guys off the court, but on the court I did not see much leadership in terms of running the team. Some PG are considered the quarterback of their offense. Mo was the Qb, RB, and WR. But in all fairness that is what we needed last year.....

This year we need to get other players more involved. Can Mo play more like he did in Utah and Cleveland? If he can then maybe he would be a good asset. He would have to come in with the right mind set. Both he and Blake need to work together and understand that guys like CJ and Will need the ball too in order to develop and be ready for the playoffs.

I wanted him back mostly for chemistry reasons. Theres no real promising PG out there in FA id want to bring in that would come here for the minimum.

Yeah, as their own non-Bird rights free agent, they could have offered him up to $3.15M.

That Mo that was in Utah and Cleveland was exactly what we got last season. That's who he is.

That's surprising. Were they really penny pinching?

Williams is still out on the open market weighing his options. We’re told the point guard declined to take the bi-annual salary Blake ended up receiving. Williams desired to return but under the right terms. That’s the way things go in the association.

That's only like 700k more than the BAE. Seems kind of insulting to Mo. I'm not the biggest fan of Mo, but it seemed like the other players really seemed to like him. He's good for the locker room.
