I think people are overreacting to the last couple days

No, does anyone really think the roster will be better than last years? Neil has been trying to “balance” the roster for 3 years and hasn’t been able to so I’m not holding my breath on improving it.
Once again, I will form my opinion on what actually occurs and happens in real life instead of just assuming there is no way it's possible.

With how close between 3rd and 8th it was... injuries played a HUGE part in the playoff positioning.

To be fair, injuries the year before also contributed to why Portland was only 8th. So, this team is clearly a playoffs team - and clearly not the 3rd best team in the conference.

That’s fine but when nothing happens AGAIN let’s chill on the excuses for Neil.

Nobody is over reacting. Everybody is upset including the franchise player. The gm is a liar. He’s shit. Everybody wants him out. We have lost ed Davis, pat, Napier. Those guys logged minutes last season. Now we have a stand off with an over rated center in nurkic. Neil swung and missed again on a free agent, hezonja. We are worse than last season. Everybody got better like last season. We got worse. I have so little faith in this organization right now. Paul Allen and olshey are jokes. They don’t give a fuck about the fans.
We didn't get worse last year. We went from 8 seed to 3 seed despite 6 game home losing streak and late season dive.

For fuck's sake, how many fucking times do I have to fucking say that I'm right there with you if things aren't better by the time the season rolls around?

You have never said that to me, and I don’t read every post ever written,

Neil not re-signing the best backup big in the league is a failure bro. Especially when he's the heart and soul of your team.

Did the same with the other heart and soul Wes Matthews...
It does look like not retaining Davis could end up being a failure but I think Dame is the heart and soul of the team and the leader and everything else physically possible for one man to be.

Does anyone actually think the roster is set and no changes will be made after yesterday?
Personally, I don't think so, but I do still think it's in doubt as to whether they'll use the Crabbe TPE. There are currently a full 15 players under contract for next year, as well.

If he's the best backup big in the league, why did he only get 4.4 million from the NETS? He's a good player, but Collins and Nurkic have more potential and should be getting the minutes. Not to mention we have a second year Swanigan who is a very good rebounder.

And did you really want us to offer Wes what Dallas offered Wes? After that injury? With CJ waiting in the wings?

Swanigan is no where close to Davis man. No where close. Swanigan is a fringe NBA player. Not every 1st round pick has potential.

How are there 15? I think 12 including PapaG

We got 3rd because of injuries.
There are injuries to every team every year including our team. 3rd is 3rd is 3rd. Or if things are counted out because of injuries, then the Warriors haven't won their last three titles:

2015: No Kyrie or Kevin in Finals
2017: No Kawhi in WCF
2018: No CP3 in Games 6 & 7 of WCF

Dame is the leader and has plenty of heart. But your heart and soul is usually your enforcer too. Dame ain't that.

Give him time. I didn't say he was close to Davis. I said he was a good rebounder. He was pretty awesome in regular season home opener vs New Orleans last year. The potential is there especially with more minutes.

Last Year: 15
-Pat
-Ed
-Shabazz
+Simons
+Trent
+Stauskas

= 15

Correct. I forgot the draft picks + Quick Nik. Shows how much these meant to me.

I am not certain that PapaG is guaranteed - and of course, we did not sign Trent and Simons yet - and the fact that Trent was not even in the conference makes me wonder if he is going to be a part of a trade. Who knows.

How was Davis our "enforcer"? There are no enforcers in the league anymore. You're thinking 1970s/80s players. Davis and Wes never went after the opposition physically like say Laimbeer or Rick Mahorn. They were just very good players. So is Dame.

We just signed Simons.

He doesn't have potential. Too small, too unathletic.

If you don't think Davis was our enforcer, we don't need to have a conversation about it. And please, don't tell me what I'm thinking. There's no possible way you could know.

You know, what would be nice is if once--just once--you could acknowledge that Neil has a responsibility to make the team appreciably better before the end of this off-season, and that he should be held accountable if he doesn't.

That's probably asking too much... :devilwink:

Ahhh a wise guy eh?

If he doesn't make the team appreciably better he will be fired, that's been my guess this entire offseason.
