This is the thread where you say what you were wrong about. I'll start.

I wanted to extend Crash for four years.

I wanted to trade for Steve Nash.

Next?

I wanted to draft Oden

I thought Kobe didn't like young boys.

I thought a pickle was frog poop

I did not want to extend Crash.

I did not want to sign Steve Nash.

I do not like green eggs and ham.

I do not like them, Eric Mill-i-gan.

This is our year.

Last year was our year.

The year before last was our year.

The year before the last before that was our year.

It's spelled MillEgan

Is that one of those exotic names with two capital letters in different places? Like you threw like John Mill and Susie Egan got married and decide to concatenate their names?

Dude, you amaze me sometimes. ;)

Gramps...

Wanted (still kinda want to) lock Oden up with a max extension. We'd have 4 years left on the deal.

I would trade Mo for Nash in half a heartbeat, but I like the signing.

I believed Dwight and thought he would be a model of Christianity in a sport known for the looseness of players' morals, especially on the road.

Brian.... Oden is done. He couldn't even play one game before his knee swelled up.

I thought Lillard was going to be improved on defense this year. Yikes.

I was wrong about resigning Batum. He's not bad per se (he's actually decent), but in retrospect the Blazers probably should have let him go to Minnesota given the money they are paying him.

The contract is actually good IMO we only overpaid him about 2 mil per but I will live with it if he can give us 2-3 triple doubles a season and give us around 15/5/5 night with good D.

That's actually a bit of a myth. His defense has always been a lot more potential than production.

Oh well, I'm not saying I hate that we have him, I'm just saying I don't think the investment is going to pay the dividends this team needs if it's serious about taking another step.

Idk man I see him hounding guys. It's not his fault if guys like Harden or Parker hit contested jumpers on him. What it comes down to for me is if we didn't re-sign him what would we have replaced him with? Ak47? SF is not a position filled with starters around the NBA.

Even if we waited till the draft to find his real replacement we were looking at a SF crop of Porter Jr, Shabazz, The Greek dude, The Russian dude, and Snell.

I thought the Blazers were being idiots when they were stalling on giving Brandon Roy his big contract.

Still baffling how some still think Nic is overpaid. He got exactly market rate.

Have you guys heard the numbers thrown around for Gordan Hayward??

I remember writing that Luke Babbitt will always have an NBA job as a designated shooter off the bench. lol

I've been optimistic about every shitty PG Portland has thrown out there since Rod Strickland. It was a little like Gob's roofie cycle, where in trying to forget the last bad point guard you latch on to the next one. It was nice to finally be right about Andre Miller (no-brainer) and Lillard.

Others:
Honk once
Extend Roy
"Trout has superstar potential"
Extend Miles
Kemp
Jermaine

If I were GM, the last dozen or so years would be no less shitty than they've been anyway.

I wouldn't have dumped Z-Bo or Sheed or extended Stoudamire though. So I was right a couple times.

I thought Meyers Leonard would eventually pay off. Oops we're talking about past mistakes, not current.

The only one I can really think of is Roy

I thought he would be average at best.
