Re: I would love to cut Dorell Wright and gamble on Lamar Odom for the rest of the se

If he would not be able to play in the playoffs I was not aware of that but CMon lets not act like this is the kind of move that could make or break this team. The Blazers have plenty of high good character players.

It is a chemistry thing, the chemistry of crack cocaine.

Re: I would love to cut Dorell Wright and gamble on Lamar Odom for the rest of the se

Why go halfway? :dunno:

GET HA! :ghoti:

Re: I would love to cut Dorell Wright and gamble on Lamar Odom for the rest of the se

^yes!

Re: I would love to cut Dorell Wright and gamble on Lamar Odom for the rest of the se

but I know it's not going to happen. Have Odom come off the bench for Batum.

Re: I would love to cut Dorell Wright and gamble on Lamar Odom for the rest of the se

Haven't you learned anything from Indy's chemistry accident? No, we drop the guy who hit a game winner and sign a cancer instead. Knicks aren't going to playoffs unless Bucks beat the Hawks silly.

Re: I would love to cut Dorell Wright and gamble on Lamar Odom for the rest of the se

Anything Lamar Odom can do now on a court, Victor Claver or Dorell Wright can do better. Off court, it's not even a contest. Could call him the L Trainwreck?

Victor Claver
I always forget about that guy. It's a shame, because he's the one who should be backing up Nic.

Re: I would love to cut Dorell Wright and gamble on Lamar Odom for the rest of the se

Sign Rod Strickland. I think I saw him as an assistant during the NCAA tourney and he looked like he could still play. OR MAYBE Shaq, he still big.

Kareem hasn't been around much lately, wonder if he would sign a ten day.

PS......I had my gallbladder removed 5 years ago so I would dominate the whole board if each strange gas deserved a thread. ( Maybe I will start tomorrow)

Only BGD could start this thread.

It's a gift.

Strickland was one of the best PG the Blazers had and he was no saint. I believe Strickland had four DUI arrest.

Holy fuck, I feel like I would if I was talking to my dog and he said something back to me.

So by that logic Jason Kidd will end his career a better coach than Phil Jackson?

Re: I would love to cut Dorell Wright and gamble on Lamar Odom for the rest of the se

He would be eligible, the Knicks are actually thinking of signing him for the playoffs.

Well at least I'm pretty sure there used to be a deadline to be on a roster by in order to be eligible to play in the playoffs...I think :smiley-hmm:

Re: I would love to cut Dorell Wright and gamble on Lamar Odom for the rest of the se

So a player has to be off another teams roster by March 1st in order to be eligible for the playoffs which doesn't apply to Odom.

I believe this only applies to NBA teams, not over seas teams. Could be wrong though.

Re: I would love to cut Dorell Wright and gamble on Lamar Odom for the rest of the se

Lamar Odom got injured with his Spanish club. Wright isn't injured and he's 6 years younger.

Re: I would love to cut Dorell Wright and gamble on Lamar Odom for the rest of the se

Just confused on why you chose Wright of all people? He's actually decent. Why not someone at the end of the bench who never plays or something?

Re: I would love to cut Dorell Wright and gamble on Lamar Odom for the rest of the se

you want to drop a valuable commodity (reliable snap shooter off the bench) that fits his role on the team to a tee for lamar odom? seriously? literally worst idea ever.

Re: I would love to cut Dorell Wright and gamble on Lamar Odom for the rest of the se

I want to cut Mo Williams so we can sign Greg Anthony.

What?

Re: I would love to cut Dorell Wright and gamble on Lamar Odom for the rest of the se

cut lillard for magic johnson while we're at it.

Re: I would love to cut Dorell Wright and gamble on Lamar Odom for the rest of the se

i would rather cut myself and gamble on bleeding to death

Re: I would love to cut Dorell Wright and gamble on Lamar Odom for the rest of the se

Well I guess if wright is that difficult to replace then he should be considered untouchable?

No, we just don't want Lamar Crack Pipe Odom on the team. Are you really having this much trouble figuring that out?

Re: I would love to cut Dorell Wright and gamble on Lamar Odom for the rest of the se

is there any way we could have another team sign odom and then trade lillard for him?

get it done kpee!

You saying this reminded me of what Vin Scully was talking about the other day. Enjoy.

If we won't replace Wright with a worthless pile of shit, it therefore stands to reason we would not trade Wright for Lebron James. Perfectly logical.

LOL!

Re: I would love to cut Dorell Wright and gamble on Lamar Odom for the rest of the se

It's not that big of a gamble if you really think about it. It's not like Dorell Wright is doing anything for the team that can't be replaced. Odom probably wants to get back in the league and play so we bring him in for the rest of the season and the playoffs. Odom may not be considered a high chemistry guy but the dude can play when he's into it.

If he could play he would be on a team. He is old. He will never have the energy, fluidity in the game Wright has. Here is another important fact. The team likes him. And if you were going to cut anyone. You wouldn't cut him.

Re: I would love to cut Dorell Wright and gamble on Lamar Odom for the rest of the se

For at least 15 years, I have felt that each Laker player would be about half as good on another team. Move everyone down a level. Laker superstars (Shaq and Kobe) would be only stars (on the level Gasol was with Memphis), Laker top starters would be just (I don't know, but you get the idea), Laker starters would be top subs, Laker subs would be journeymen.

That team has run on (Phil Jackson) fumes a long time, even when Stern's refs won them championships. I always thought Jerry Buss was a lazy owner.
