CJ could probably get you DeRozan and Patty Mills...DeRozan and Powell have chemistry together from the Raptors days
I think he'd fit great with Dame and Norm...slide Norm to the 2 guardDeRozen is a FA next year. Will prob ring chase in LA.
Just get longer and more athletic. Two things Olshey refuses to do and it shows in the product.
He's a UFA this year. It will be quite hard to get though.DeRozen is a FA next year. Will prob ring chase in LA.

Lol what? He got Jones, Nassir and Giles this offseason and our coach didn't play any of them, because he's too dimwitted to think of anything on offense other than stand in the corner and watch Dame work.
This is patently wrong there is trade interest in CJ. Now, does that interest equal the value of a legit number two option coming back in return? No I don't think it does with most if not all front offices but if we want to be out of the CJ McCollum business we won't have to pay our way out. The Knicks will pay us and if we just want some picks a prospect and cap room, I'm sure they'd do that. I'm sure there are GMs I'm not aware of that feel the same way as the Knicks have been reported to feel about him too. This is the terrible situation we've found ourselves in. No one wants this guy. We held onto him about 3 or 4 years too long. It would be a miracle if we get equal value back for that contract.
The framework is CJ to New York. New York sends assets to a third team. And the third team sends some players to Portland. It likely won't be someone that's as good as CJ in a vacuum, but you could get someone that fits better + some cap flexibility that will let you work out other deals down the line.
Yeah, I've been saying this and the player I hope we can target would be Pascal Siakam... that's if the Raptors are doing a youth rebuild like has been rumored.I keep staring at the Knicks, because they have the capspace to basically absorb CJ, they have the need for a guy with his skills, and they are looking for momentum after making the playoffs for the first time in years. Thibs is the kind of guy that wants to win as many regular season games as possible. I can definitely see that team talking themselves into CJ being better if he didn't have to play in the shadow of Dame.
They have all their picks. They have the Mavs 1st. They have a billion seconds. They have some interesting young players that developing teams may want to take a look at like Knox, Ntilikina, Toppin, Quickley etc.

I'm really curious what's going to happen with the two LA teams.
Can they really build another winner around LeBron? Can he still be a #1? Dame and LeBron are super close. He got LA their ring. Does this team win a title if we get LeBron?
Yeah, same here. I think Siakam has more value in a vacuum than 2 1sts and Toppin which is what I expect the offer would be. Also no idea if they trade him. Maybe if Portland poaches Masai, Masai can negotiate the deal. If Masai stays in Toronto, I don't see why they would want to move Siakam.
Yeah, if they see him as a number one guy but if they're looking to do something similar to Houston and see Siakam as a good second option but not a guy you build around, then maybe picks 19, 32 and Toppin seems more valuable.Siakam is 27. That still seems young enough to build around.

Olshey can go fuck right off too, but that wasn't the problem.

Pascal's contract is too big.Yeah, I've been saying this and the player I hope we can target would be Pascal Siakam... that's if the Raptors are doing a youth rebuild like has been rumored.
You're just saying it's too big to keep us flexible. I'm assuming because the trade works as far as the CBA is concerned. The problem I have whenever someone is telling me we should take a downgrade in talent (I don't think Christian Wood is close to Pascal Siakam) so we can keep cap flexibility is... why? What the fuck are we going to do with cap flexibility? Unless we're talking an uneven trade, then we're really just talking about saving the Paul Allen trust some money because we're not getting anyone significant to sign here as a free agent. Two words: Christian Wood
Pascal's contract is too big.
Jones is 6'5". Little is 6'5". Giles is..clueless. I guess I did need to spell it better but 6'5" isn't long for NBA and though Giles is the right body type he has very little NBA game unless preseason and garbage time counts.
6'9" and up with length and athleticism. And yes, that really is the problem. Stotts should be gone, but do we really win by playing Little, Giles, and/or Jones more? I totally don't get the Jones demotion after it was successful for most of the regular season, but we need bigger and better.

I don't think New Orleans would do that.CJ for Ingram all day
