Not that the two achievements are related, but Harris has been getting a lot of pub from the media as being the top PG in the East... and deservedly so.
But less has been focused on Carter. He's averaging the usual 22/5/5, but his percentages from the field and 3 are at all time highs (47% and 40%), making two 3's a game, and (almost) a career low 1.9 TOs. More importantly the Nets are 11-8 and 5th in the East.
Considering only teams currently in the playoff race, only Joe Johnson and Dwyane Wade are contenders. Most likely, Wade is the top East SG with monster numbers of 29/5/8 with 2.4 steals and 1.8 blocks. But he averages a horrible 4 TO's a game and has a non-existant 3pt shot. Also, his team has a worse record with arguably equal or better talent. I was really wowwed by JJ when he went against the Nets though. He looked like a true superstar.
What do you guys think?
