Meyers Leonard is garbage. He's a one trick pony. He doesn't play defense. He doesn't rebound. He certainly doesn't block shots. The muthafucka just wants to shoot threes. We got guards who can do that. If anyone is not long for this team it's him not CJ.

Edit: Frazier is a garbage time, fringe player, who more than likely won't be on the team next season.

Meyer's ceiling is nothing more than Channing Frye, but right now he's a poor man's Channing Frye. Channing is a lot more smooth and comfortable getting his shot off, whereas Meyers doesn't seem to one to shoot unless people leave him alone. He can be a decent backup, but I'm glad he didn't sign that big contract. But we'd be better off playing another guard or wing, or a tough nosed interior guy IMO. I'm not a fan of those soft 7ft jump shooters.

-That Stotts doesn't have what it takes.
20 easy points by Rush? come on now, our players looked lost against their offense tonight, they were shocked by their offensive plays like they've never seen any of them before.

-That if you miss a lot of easy shots then you have a bad night.

-That a finished team with the 4th highest payroll in the league cannot beat a new team, with no power forward with the cheapest payroll in the league (50mil vs 95mil).

Don't worry, someone will take Paul Allen's money.
We need to get rid of Stotts and get Thibs.

When I look at records, which is the only thing that matters, it tells me that Golden State is by far the best team in the NBA.
Oh, okay. So if Stephen Curry dropped dead tomorrow, Golden State would still be the best team because they have the best record? And if they'd played all their games at home against patsies and another team had played all its games on the road against much better competition and lost just one more game, Golden State would still be better? I never knew it could be so simple!

He has about 4 big weaknesses.
All his weaknesses are big - he's 7'1".

You know, I almost wish we'd've drafted Royce White instead of Meyers, because we wouldn't still be kidding ourselves that he just needs a little more time to become good. Call this the "better to draft Len Bias than Greg Oden" rule.

CJ had a tough shooting night because he was going against one of the premier two-way SG's in the league. Thompson can stroke it from '3' with the best of them and is capable of being a lock-down defender. CJ is very good at creating his own shot but Thompson is longer, more athletic, and just a much better defender and that will make for some long nights for McCollum.

Proud of Dame's effort. If he doesn't have one of the best games of his career, It's a 30+ point embarrassment.

Sadly, even after losing 3 in a row at home, the Blazers are still at #9 in the Lottery rankings. It's what I was talking about earlier. Just a couple of wins here and there can make a huge difference between being a #4/5 seed with a shot at a really good pick, and being #9/10 where you may get someone decent but not a likely the game changer that is available earlier. There just aren't that many of those each year.

I'll admit that Thompson is a terrific player and, obviously, he really had his shot going last night. He's also a gifted defensive player, but to say that CJ's tough shooting night was because of Klay would mean that you'd have to believe that Klay possesses Jedi-like defensive abilities. I mean, CJ missed wide-open 3 point shots, he missed uncontested floaters, he missed shots off the glass that he normally gets to spin in. He missed some of those shots when Klay was on him and he missed some when Klay was out of the game and some when Klay was covering another player or when he'd simply lost his man. It takes a special defensive kind of defensive ability to cause your man to miss even when you're nowhere near him.

Women miss me all the time when I'm not around.

That's what my eyes are telling me also. I watch Leonard a lot and he seems to make a lot of bad decisions on defense and on offense doesn't usually do anything creative or assertive. But I noticed it was mentioned that he was the only one with a positive +/- last night so I looked up his +/- for the season and saw that he had the best on the team for regulars (Vonleh the worst by far); so I don't really know what to think about him.

Unfortunately he doesn't even do that half the time. Everytime he misses a three-pointer I cringe. Not just because he missed, but because I know he's going to pass up his next two wide-open opportunities.

I disagree.
If we know that Brian Scalabrine is the greatest player of all times and we also know that Meyers Leonard is a better shooter then him then how can Meyers be garbage?

He opens up the floor a ton with his "one trick", making it easier for everyone else. When he's out of the game the offense gets super bogged down. But people seem to ignore that and instead bash him for "looking soft" or his hair. It's actually kind of trollish.

Have you watched him play defense?

You're right, no one has.

That's a troll post. He's not that much of a liability if his +/- is consistently one of the best on the team

This place cracks me up. Everyone says we need to tank for another good player to pair with dame. CJ has a break out year and shows massive potential to be a star and everyone wants to trade him cause we already have dame.

I think most are off the CJ trading bandwagon.... now it's right back on Meyers.

Is meyers worth anything in trade? Isnt he a free agent and low salary? Not good for salary dumps and he can just walk on a team, so why would they toss us an asset?

Who would you guys rather pay 8mil' per year: Markieff Morris or Leonard?

And also: if we want to be Golden State so much than why not get a PF like Morris who can shoot-pass and matchup well with Green?

Because people are hungry, and they think a bag of pretzels would be good right about now... and he may net us that.

If that game proved anything it's that:

a) we aren't ready up front
b) we don't have spacing
c) we always let the other team dictate the style we play

All of those things were known going into the season and with c it's been that way ever since Stotts became head coach.

Green has more assists last year and this year than Morris does in his career. Green also is a very good defender. Morris not so much.

Did you mean to write "c) we ALWAYS let the other team dictate the style we play"? Serious question, because to me, that's what it seems like you meant.
