Kam Jones is my new obsession. I saw somewhere (can't find it again) that he lead the NCAA in "points created" and he just sounds like one of those guards you bring in and your team goes on a run - an Andrew Nemhard type. And you can't go wrong with Marquette guys - Wesley was our last.

I watched every game he played in. He was Arkansas best player on the floor. I’m a huge Razorback fan, this the name Ron B

he’s improved every year since Frosh year at UK and can guard all 5 positions. Jump shot is not broken. Will improve. Decent handles and will dunk on anyone.

Plus defender sand as physical as anyone in this draft. I would love this if we can somehow get him in second. Couple of teams have made early second round promises to him

I'm 99% sure you are talking about Thiero here.
I would absolutely love getting him to Portland.

If Essengue is picked prior to 11, I'm a big proponent of trading down with OKC for 15+24. Picking up Thiero at 24 would be phenomenal.

Absolutely talking about Thiero. I love him. Hogs offered him 3Mil to come back in NIL. Calipari got some kind of guarantee in first round and he's got a few second round team that will take him. He absolutely should be there at 24

How does this work? Where does this money come from? Student tuition?

True story: I taught a course at the University of Arkansas back in the late 90s. I saw Kareem Reid walking across campus. Fayetteville is very nice: if you're ever sentenced to live in Arkansas (God help you), make sure it's the Northwest corner.

Loved Kareem Reid. If he hadn't been a Prop 48 his Frosh Year, Hogs probably beat UCLA to go back to back in 95.

NIL collectives. The Chicken Man [John Tyson of Tyson Chicken] is a UA grad and was huge in getting Calipari to Arkansas. He personally dedicates a lot of money to the Arkansas NIL War chest. Rumored that Arkansas has up to 10Mil to use for players for College Basketball. Also, JB Hunt trucking and Walmart are heavy Donors to the UA. Agreed about NW Arkansas. It's ranked yearly as a top place to live

Ah yes, Tyson chicken. You can't live in Arkansas without hearing about that. No doubt the inspiration for "Chaco chicken" in that one X-Files episode.

Nowadays we're more sellers than buyers (how I miss Paul Allen's bottomless pockets) but it's always fun to talk about possible draft gems available late, so you can include guys who might go undrafted that you'd like to see invited to camp or on our summer league team.

I think we could always do with a heady backup PG (which was why I was so happy to see us draft Tyler Kolek last year - grrr), so I'll start with:

Mark Sears

Draftroom has him as likely undrafted.
Turns out they were right!

Hunter Sallis really shone at the combine. Chucky Hepburn might be good, too.
