Don Nelson doesn't typically like rookies, and he likes to give time to gunners...

He's the only coach in the league who would do it but he might enjoy playing a Crawford/Ellis/Bayless/Jackson 1-2 combo, which would be a deadly scoring unit.

Bayless and Outlaw are both perfect for GS offense.

As for what I would do with it

Then we can hijack the knicks with grabbing Curry at 7, trading him and Sergio to the knicks for Jennings (#8) and a nice future pick or something.

We can draft Beaubois with our #24

With our leftover cap space we sign Miller or another good vet PG to mentor Jennings/Beaubois.

Miller/Jennings/Beaubois (yeah not great depth but Miller's never injured and Rudy/Roy can both play 1 some)

Oden/Prybilla

maybe fill the roster out with a low minute vet like Ime and some other reserves...

That team would have a lot of athleticism and high basketball IQ, that's for sure. Our defense would get much better quickly. (with Turiaf playing help defense instead of Outlaw), Rudy would need to be the primary bench scorer, but with the strides Oden and Batum will have made, the upgrade of Miller, and having Webster back I think our offense would be alright.

Jennings was the top PG in his HS class, of course a lot of teams are having trouble scouting him. However he's one of the few guys with equal athleticism to Bayless, and his court vision is incredibly high. Also that piece on DX sure made it seem like he had been humbled quite a bit by playing in Europe this year.

I think he's a very KP-esque pick up.

I don't see much benefit for GS. I was a big fan of Bayless coming out of Arizona but hes redundant with Monta already here. Outlaw is redundant too with Jack, Mags, and Azubuike at the 3.

Turiaf is one of the few players on the team that earned his paycheck, and the #7 for a guy who hasn't proven anything at the pro level... They're also set at SF and the G positions.

Regarding the lockout post that was made on this thread, I think these days, the NBA has to be careful about the possibility of NBA players bolting to Europe en masse. Hopefully, all of the top stars, except for Portland players would bolt, leaving us with 10 championships in a row.

Good backup PF signed to a very reasonable contract. I can see how GS would appreciate having a PF who can run and gun. Ronny and Travis' contracts do match. But if we did that deal, it would probably mean that we wouldn't be getting any of the big name SFs in this years FA crop. Turiaf would be almost as good as Chris Anderson...Anderson is a better rebounder, but Turiaf has ball skills and isn't a freak. I'd also love his attitude! Portland really needs some of that.

Are Roy and Turiaf friends? They both went to Washington schools.

Europe is (or was) in even worse shape than the USA financially. Germany, the UK, France, Hungary, and Italy did vote more right/capitalistic in the recent elections, so you may have a point.
