Actually, the Japanese aren't a greedy people. If anything, I'd guess they rebuild by cutting export prices, not hiking them.

If product shortages occur (does anyone really want a Yaris, though?) it will likely be the US retailers that reap the profit, not the Japanese manufacturers.
