some of you have short memories. Harkless was one of our best 2 defenders has the highest ceiling of anyone younger than 24 on the roster and we should let HIM go? uhhhh what?

With the defense we'll get from Turner, Aminu and Ezeli I don't think Harkless is so much needed. In any case I think we choose between Crabbe and Harkless, Leonard is gone. I prefer Crabbe's shot and instant scoring to be honest, but of course none says that Harkless is a bad player. I just think he is not needed with the way our roster is built (if we get Ezeli at a normal price).

I'm reading so many posts here saying that we shouldn't let anyone go because they are assets, but we also need to get new players. We cannot get players without letting anyone go. It's impossible. I wish we could keep them all, but right now we need rim protection more than Harkless.

Weren't you one of his strongest supporters? What happened?
You're joking right? I think Meyers has talent and could be valuable but given the guys on the roster, I'd see Meyers walk instead of Mo or Crabbe at this point. I'd really like to trade him for Sullinger or Vucevic but Ezeli is a true rim protector..yeah, I'd make that choice.....other than that..I was actually just running with the theme. I'm not a Meyers hater, but in this circumstance....I'm not that attached to him and his cap hold

Sounds like quick thinks meyers takes the 1 year qualifying offer. Which makes sense on him betting on himself again. So it would seem meyers would be back for sure

If we sign Ezeli he's our starter. Plumlee and Davis don't really work together. One of them has to go imo.

That's what I'm thinking. If we're keeping Leonard and Vonleh as well, Davis and Plumlee become redundant behind Ezeli. Our frontcourt is already getting crowded for minutes with Turner taking SF minutes away from Harkless and Aminu and pushing one or both of them into more minutes at PF, and I'd prefer to keep both of them over both Davis and Plumlee. I really like both Davis and Plumlee, but if we're picking just one to come off the bench, I think I like Davis better for that role.

I'd be okay with this.

As long as he does it around the time frame that works best for our roster shaping.

Yes we can't let these guys leave. Ezeli might be the starting C, but for security we need at least 2 more for back up

"There is something good brewing here"

"I bought a one way ticket, we are going to figure it out"

Festus wants to be here, and apparently he isn't taking no for an answer.

Wings:

Turner
Aminu
Crabbe
Harkless
Layman
Connaughton
Montero

Bigs:

Ezeli
Plumlee
Davis
Leonard
Vonleh
Alexander

Idk, it's a tough decision. I don't see how the team can rely on guys like connaughton and layman though. Not yet at least. Gotta trade a big or renounce Meyers, but we'll see!

Ugh! I think Festus would be a solid pickup, but not for 20 million, Jesus Christ, and dump Leonard, not Harkless.

Don't shit your pants. The Blazers aren't going to pay that much. Ezeli wants to be here, he bought a one way ticket. Now, in my neck of the woods that means he is willing to negotiate.

According to Quick Festus is looking to get paid $20mill a year.

Blazers will dump Harkless to sign him if he passes his physical.
WTF? I rarely complain but that's just nuts.
