"Why is this homeless looking white dude bothering me?"
Damn, that guy looks big. You really see it when they stand next to regular people.

So they will dump a young high potential guy in Harkless to sign a guy who has played less than 100 games in the last 3 years? Fuck
Double fuck. Guess it's my turn to be disgusted with a Blazers move.

Given that there are few teams (if any) with cap space left that need a center, Neil should and likely will take that into consideration when offering him a deal. Given his knee history, I can't believe he would get a 4-year deal at $20M per.
Me either.

If he sign it looks like that his intention then you properly you would trade Plum down the road. He is going to what to get paid next year. I wouldn't trade until ML can play again it insurance just in case Festus go down.

This would be the cyanide icing on a shitty azz cake for me if we sign glass man to a big enough contract that we have to renounce Mo for. Give him our last 10 mil a year tops. All he deserves with his many games missed. Do not lose Harkless please!

No way this guy deserves 20 mil a year. Hope Quick is all sorts of wrong.

Would like a big but not for this much and at expense of others. Sulinger can be had for 10 I bet if Ezeli turns it down.

One thing people who follow Ezeli know is that he contests a high percentage of shots1(45.4%), ranking third overall with only John Henson (45.7%) of the Bucks and Myles Turner (48.3%) of the Pacers contesting a larger percent

When trying to take into account more quantitative impacts that account for differences in minutes each played, the difference becomes a little starker. Festus ranks first overall in raw points saved per 36 minutes4 (8.37), higher than DeAndre Jordan (5.83), Andrew Bogut (7.40), Rudy Gobert (7.55), Tim Duncan (6.38), and Hassan Whiteside (7.24) who ranks sixth. When adjusted for position played5, Festus still reigns supreme saving 3.6 points per 36 minutes adjusted for position compared to Hassan's 2.5, Gobert's 2.8, Duncan's 1.6, and Ibaka's 2.0. Per game, the Heat center (2.0) saves .2 points than the Warrior's backup (1.8). However, this is a small margin considering the fact that Whiteside (28.7) plays 10.7 more minutes. Ezeli saves the same amount of points as Serge Ibaka even though Ibaka plays 14.6 more minutes on average

Honestly, who cares what they pay him... He provides Blazers with the muscle/defense we were sorely lacking in the post... He is only 26, legit 7' with 7'6" wingspan, and champion experience... Some of you will never be happy... GREAT MOVE NEIL!!! Thank you!
It's not that I care what they pay him. I do care who they have to lose for nothing to pay him that.

Havent read the whole thread so I'm not sure if its been mentioned.

If the Warriors lose Festus they are going to have a massive hole at the 5 spot. Might not hurt them that much since they will play small ball more often than not, but after losing Bogut, losing Festus could be a big deal.

we can go over the cap to sign them back luxury tax is at 108? I think so I think we can do it especially with the extra 9 mill from G leaving I dont see why we gotta renounce them

Could this happen?
Meyers would be betting on himself again. Take less now to make more next summer as a free agent (and we would hold his rights). But yes we would have 11 to 12 MIL in cap room if he goes the QO way.

We have about 9 MIL right now to spend (up to 10 if we cut some low guys according to reports). We can't go over the cap to sign Ezeli. So if he only takes 9 or 10 MIL then we are fine. If he requires 16 MIL or so then we have to renounce one of either Mo or Leonard to make room and bring him on.

I thought you could only go over the cap for the last contract....sign two and still be under, then sign the third and go over

They already cut him loose. He was RFA and they waived their rights so he is UFA now. They have 0 cap space with Durant signing. They are trying to get Dewayne Dedmon to take the vet min of just over 1 MIL to sign for them for their rim protector.

ah ok makes sense. see ya meyers dont let the door hitcha where the good lord splitcha

Anybody else think it's odd that the Blazers didn't send anyone to the airport to meet him?

Maybe they want him to experience the Portland life...all he has to do anyway is ride the Max to the MC

Maybe the $$ opens up if Crabbe signs with Brooklyn?

Not much. His cap hold is the lowest out of our 3 RFA's. Only 2.7 MIL. Which is why I think he is a lock to come back to POR on a matched contract provided someone doesn't throw him 18 MIL plus a year.

Leonard and Mo have cap holds in the 7.5 to 7.7 MIL area I believe.

The fact that they are bringing him in signals the exit of Crabbe or Harkless. Just my thought, time will either prove it right or wrong.
Also means Turner will get heavy minutes next year. He's more productive when getting minutes, definitely hasn't seemed suited to play a 6th man type role. He could have a career year next season.

but doesnt that mean then we could offer mo 8m per and only take a .3 hit to the cap as is? renounce lenoard offer 13-14 per to ezeli sign crabbe over the top? does that work?
