I don't really think a team would want to be named after a former pro wrestler. Call me crazy but I just don't think it will happen.

They plan on moving to BK but the name is false. Plus Bruce Ratner & all those other big wigs are facing alot of different residential groups in BK, who dont want a team in their part of town, so the decision to move there is far from final.

The move shouldn't and most likely won't happen. The people of Brooklyn don't want the Nets there, and the people in New Jersey don't want the Nets gone. A better plan would be to move the team to Newark, the Meadowlands is in the middle of nowhere and hard to get to for the people in western Jersey. I hope they don't move, they're the only team close enough for me to go to besides the Knicks who's tickets are too expensive, and 76er's who I can't stand to watch.

yea i agree with BC. the location is horrible. CAA has no trains or anything running to it so if you live far away, you are basically F'ed b/c its too much of a hassle to drive all the way there. plus the arena needs to be revamped anyways. its one of the oldest and when you go to it you just feel like its a football arena. there is really no lighting effects or anything that makes you feel close to/ in the game like garden does.
i heard that people who said they were with ratner before the sale took place have now had different views b/c they dont want to spend all the money, cant blame them. jersey is getting screwed in this. we have new fans growing up and actually being nets fans instead of knicks fans. there are NJ groups that will buy the team back to keep them in jersey if ratner cant move the team to bklyn. i think there is a certain date where ratner needs to have the money and must present something to the nba board or something like that. i thought i read something where a date was june30 or something along those lines (have to look into it more).
bottom line though, if ratner doesnt start to spend his money now, there is going to be a lame product going to brooklyn and most of NY, if not all are knicks fans and from the knicks fans i know and have talked too, knicks fans won't change to nets fans. therefore there could possibly be a lower output in brooklyn than there has been in the passed in jersey. of course ppl would go to the new arena b/c it is new and everything, but eventually ppl are only going to go for the product not the arena, so ratner better be willing to spend the money. but if the moving to bklyn still is a problem in the upcoming months, he could not spend the money b/c he would need ti for moving and the nets as a team could suffer b/c he wants to move the NJ Nets into a Knick-fan area. didnt make sense to me when it first happened.
the nets were originally in NY and were named the Nets b/c it rhymed with the Jets and Mets. so they will probably 90% be Brooklyn Nets.
ps. if hockey is still around, the devils are going to newark so the nets seemingly could easily move there with them.

the brawler still wrestles sometimes i think in dark matches. i used to go to wwf/wwe shows like raw/smackdown and ppv when they have king of the ring in NJ like 3-4yrs ago. he is basically still a jobber and wears that cut-up t-shirt lol. i think he works with up-coming talent in like ohio, their AAA.
also about the possible move to brooklyn, i've heard that a lot of people who live in and aroudn brooklyn dont want the move b/c aside from them being thrown out of thier homes, which is completely wrong, there will be traffice b/c of construction. it's just like the idea of the NY Jets moving to the west side and get their own arena and that will cause more traffic too. we all know NY doesnt need more traffic, so it may sound like a good idea and easy, but the Nets/Jets moves are having a lot more trouble than thought of before. plus it will cost NY-ers money and have to spend tax money for these new stadiums.
