you're absolutely right...I probably am guilty of derailing it and I apologize to all....when I make fun of the Catholics like that it's because I grew up with a very irish family and my sister is still a devout catholic so I slide right into those rants.

To answer your question, I would assume it would depend on the context. Supposing another guy had a gun to his back and made him do it? Okay, that was a pretty extreme example but it does get the point about context across.

Jerk was a friend of a guy who lived across the hall in shitty apartment I briefly lived in. Came to visit his friend, who wasn't home. Knocked on my door and asked if I knew when friend would return. I had no idea. I had 49ers game on TV so jerk asks is that the Niners, walked right in, and dropped his pants and starts jerking off. Told him to get the hell out. Neighbor was Ok guy but his friend was not.

yeah....maybe consider your own generalizations about transgendered people and not single out a national enquirer article for shock value....if you had a daughter that was frightened by a person in a locker room...you could just complain to the owner and not give them your business....if the exposure was meant to shock the girls...call the cops...simple. I took your title as hinting that transgendered rights are going to cause trauma in the toilets of the bible belt and still think that was pretty much your intention ...strike 3? Fact is your daughters are more likely to be in danger around a coach, teacher, clergyman or bum on the subway than they are within the transgendered community...people who are ...not known for aggressive behavior ..there are perverts in all walks of life....I do not think seeing a nude body is traumatic to children that have healthy psychology either for all the reasons I stated.

I was traveling from Harbin China to Mongolia and ate noodles at a cafe ....the only toilet was a trench in back of the noodle shop and men women and children were squatting over the trench doing their business...in the fall they cover it up and plant veggies...no plumbing in that part of the country. Nobody was embarrassed about the basic body function of taking a dump outdoors except me...some folks used umbrellas as privacy walls.
 
I have been in women's restrooms and gender neutral restrooms countless times and have never seen exposed genitals. They have stalls. People enter stall and close door. Most I have seen is someone adjusting clothing in front of mirror. So I am suspicious of the whole story. Is it known this person was trans? Not just some straight cis dude? And frankly I am not sure if the poster really is trying very hard to understand trans people.

Nobody has even slightly alluded that it's great...my daughters when they were young would have squealed and run out of their laughing saying oh my god you won't believe what that person is doing in the toilet....they would have heckled the person and called all their friends to laugh about it...let's try to keep it in perspective...as I said...if public exposure occurs call the damned cops....and I don't believe transgendered laws have instigated perversions in bathrooms either....my 2 cents but I'm not trying to convince anyone that public exposure is acceptable in this case...just that it's being singled out as an example against transgender laws....and I didn't know a man was walking around naked either...just that his genitals were exposed in a bathroom....like mine are peeing in a urinal...I think there is a political jab veiled around the issue more than moral outrage

What age? My perception was it was a young girl. Not “they’d laugh and call their friends” age.

My oldest daughter is 45 now but she'd have laughed at this when she was in elementary school....I raised my kids to have little fear about things like this ...now if they were assaulted that's different but seeing a dick wouldn't have frightened or shocked them...I believe overprotecting children is more harmful to their psychological health than being exposed to nudity....as I said....nude art, film, etc are part of our world...perverted advances by strangers are a different scenario. Some folks are horrified by a mother breast feeding in public...to me that's an unhealthy fear of one's own sexual fantasies...not a cancer on society...I wouldn't let a toddler enter a public bathroom without adult supervision either.

You can cite my reasoning for posting this thread, that's certainly your prerogative. I know why I posted it, and it wasn't for shock value. Yes, the evolving trans world that we now live in has caused me great pause a time, or two. As such, my thread title alluded to me working through and with the whole thing. That said, what happened at that spa should NEVER happen.....anywhere! To me, the most disgusting aspect of it was not primarily that he/she/they exposed his genitals to the woman/kids......it was that THEY very well may have been naked when he trapesed in. Would you want your daughters, in all their glory, exposed to this cat out of the blue like that? Moreover, what if he wasn't trans at all, and was, instead, a pervert or pedophile just wanting the get his jollies? The thing is, how would the spa even know how to tell the difference?! How do you prove you're a trans in progress, or such?
