It is so unfortunate that some people seem to do things in the reverse order, by instead of first attempting to familiarize themselves on a particular subject by researching and then formulating an educated opinion, they conversely develop their own opinion first. But whenever pressed to justify the reasoning for their position, their only recourse is to then frantically scour the internet for links that only muddy the water further and sadly do not support their position at all and only serve to dig the hole that they alone created, even deeper.
 
Haven’t read this thread in a long time and just catching up and mannnnn this is so fucking frustrating. Why are conservatives SO Fucking worried about sexual things. Gay people. These stupid books. Trans. Drag shows. Who. The. Fuck. Cares. None of them are gonna MAKE YOU GAY JESUS H CHRIST. You gotta be a special kind of dumb to be worried about these damn books. So so so stupid. I’m so sick of it. Let’s make a deal ABM when your priests and clergy stop raping and sexually abusing KIDDS we will have the conversation about who is good or bad for children. Until then GTFO
 
Also - and I know it’s been asked many times- but how do conservatives explain the fact that straight, conservative, Christian parents have gay kids? Trans kids? If they think gay adults will somehow “rub off” on these poor little kids, like being gay is some transmitted disease, why isn’t being straight passed on and taught to kids? Is every gay person raised by gay parents? No, they aren’t you stupid dolts. So having gay, trans, bi, etc adults around your sweet innocent little straight babies isn’t gonna change them. They are who they are. Nobody is going to be taught to have sex with a man if they don’t want to.
 
I've come to appreciate where the term, "Tuckered out" came from. I am admittedly tuckered out!
 
Well, Nick Fuentes did say he wants to institute Taliban rule here, just based on Catholicism rather than Islam.

Florida legislature did not pass anti trans bill so DeSantis is implementing it via executive order.

Hitler admirer Candace Owens said "we" are safer by discriminating against gender non-conforming people. Enforcing strict gender roles is, I suppose, another of the things she likes about Hitler.

Not only that, factually speaking children are FAR more likely to be sexually assaulted or molested by their step dad, their father, their pastor, some anti-gay hate mongerer loser, a straight male in their life, their male cousin, than they are going to be molested or even "groomed" by someone who is trans, gay, a drag queen or non binary.

But we have to dehumanize someone, and damnit all to hell, it won't be the people who ACTUALLY molest children.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) asked the state’s Department of Public Safety (DPS) to give him a list of everyone who had changed the gender marker on their driver’s licenses and other government documents over the last two years, The Washington Post reported.

The DPS found that 16,466 individuals had requested such a change on their various licenses and certificates between June 1, 2020 and June 30, 2022. However, the DPS told Paxton’s office that it couldn’t provide a full and accurate list of those who had submitted a court order requesting a gender change without doing additional research.

“It will be very difficult to determine which records had a valid update without a manual review of all supporting documents,” an assistant manager in DPS’s driver’s license division wrote in a July 22 email to colleagues.
 
i guess personal privacy means nothing to the GOP anymore.
 
While the Blazers were demolising the Spurs in San Antonion yesterday, a small group of bigots protesting a drag Christmas Celebration were outnumbered 4-1 by supporters of civil rights. I hear they had a great party.

Hard to know which was more fun.

Jerry Seinfeld was dating a high school senior (who was 17, iirc) before he married his current wife. Scotty, from Star Trek, married a high school graduate (she was 18, he was like 54).

Hell, look at Mick Jaggeer, over 70 and hooked up with 20 something New York City Ballet dancer. They have a five year old son.

I think it's 46 States. But that is with parental consent, right? Not that that makes it right... And isn't their an age difference limit in most states?

The only reason this is a thing is for medical benefits, I think. Another reason to support universal healthcare...
