IDK why but I dont want the celtics to win anything this year. I think it may be due to the fact that a whiny bastard like Pierce is actually winning or the fact that there roster, filled with scrubs, is gonna compete.
Pierce may whine but you can't deny the fact that he's one of the league's best 1 on 1 player. The Celtics are the real deal (It hurts to say this since I'm a Lakers fan). The only scrub on their team is Brian Scalabrine, the rest are all good role players.
At least you guys didn't get blown out by them wearing short-shorts.
I always though he was a good guy... but i haven't been keeping up with every piece of NBA news out there.</div>
he wanted out of Boston last year after he signed a 60 mil extension.

Ha. Gotta take a cheap shot at the Nets fans, don't ya?

He signed the extension after being promised that the team would be putting an emphasis on winning right away. A year went by and they got even younger and no deals were made. So AFTER the Ray Allen deal was made, he came out and said that he "considered" a trade request because Ainge was not living up to his side of the bargain.

Get mad Nets fans....you're just mad because you know that we're the best around and the Atlantic won't be yours for a while.
"Wife-beater" "Wife-beater" "Wife-beater"
By the time our reign of terror is over Kidd will be hanging his jersey up and the Nets are gonna struggle to comepete for the division title for a long time.
Despite team allegiances, the Boston Celtics play a distinguished brand of basketball that fans of the NBA should enjoy, simply to watch Garnett's defense or Pierce's ability to create points.

Get yo ass out my forum before I stab you 11 times in ya face!
I don't hate the Celtics...I just look at it like this:
their record makes them look like a better team than what they are
the Nets record makes them look like..a slightly worse team than what they are
I found out that the best way to silence Celtics fans was when I yelled at neighboring Nets fans: "Hey he's a die-hard celtics fan! He's been with the team since at least preseason!"
Generally, I hate (most) Celtics fans, just like I hated Miami fans when they won it all in the Finals. These fans were no where to be found last season, but as soon as Boston began to show some light, these guys quickly showed up to support their "favorite" team. Pisses me off.

That's an idiotic statement...especially considering last season I attended 7-8 games and watched almost all 82. I've been a fan of this team since around 1996 and I've been following them hard since around 1998 or 1999. 70% of Celtics fans are true fans and have been. The other 30% are yes bandwagoners. But the Boston fanbase is one of the strongest fanbases in the NBA.
Why don't Nets fans support their team? Oh because the fanbase is horrid and don't know how to cheer their team on at a game..

Kidd won't be hanging up his jersey in a couple years.
and yeah, I hate all Boston sports teams, and their fans when it comes to sports.
Why do you hate Boston sports fans? Because we actually support our team when they need it or because we take sports more seriously than Nets fans do and put them to shame in every way possible?

Yeah I agree with you there, same thing happen when the Clippers made it by the first round and there was all this Clippers fans showing up
saying they were always Clip's fans but when in reality they weren't.
Not at all...we're a playoff team and I'm happy with that. I'm not saying we're going to win the finals..we just have a better fanbase than the Nets do. That's all I'm sayin...

Probably explains why nobody yelled that at you then.
Keep in mind that the level of support that a fan can have for a team, and the overall level of support that fans have for a team, is a separate issue to the accessibility of a sports venue.
But that sort of analysis might actually require some thought into what you're talking about.

do you ever make sense? why would i suddenly support the celtics? you should be the last to talk, your opinions change just for the sake of argument, devlis advocate

Personally I think thats bs...The Nets have a solid fanbase that are very good fans but the arena is in the middle of nowhere and is a complete pain in the ass to get to. Now if that arena was in Newark or New Brunswick I think attendence would be double if not tripled by the fact mass transit is so much better.
Celtics fans tend to be BOSTON REDSOX FANS first. I love the city of Boston, think its a beautiful place and I've traveled there several times in the past few years including this summer and I rarely if never saw Celtics memorabilla or people wearing jerseys. The Redsox shit was everywhere and so was a lot of Patriots stuff. Personally I think the majority of Celtics fans are winners fans. Honestly few teams in this league have really good fans. I hate saying this but Knicks fans are a solid group...I mean there load and sometimes stupid but they still fill up MSG to watch a shitty team.
