And yeah I know we aren't always supposed to win but all three of our "big three" are in the top 3 of each of their respective sports with one being reigning champs and the other being one of the favorites to win it all. Celtics have blown for years.

I have no problem with Red Sox fans or New England fans...This year's Boston Celtics fans kinda piss me off.
It sucks having to listen to fans trash talk other teams when those fans need to google there own team to find out about there team's history.

What do you mean this year's Celtics fans? Is there a crop rotation system or something? They're the same fans that have been fans for years, there's just extras that are classified by the die-hards like myself as fairweather or bandwagon fans. It happens with every good team...how are the Celtics any different? Just saying..don't single out Celtics fans for having bandwagon fans like it's never happened before. Look back at every great team...there were bandwagon fans everywhere. When Jordan's bulls reigned there were bandwagon fans all around the world, why don't people hate Bulls fans?

Give credit where credit is due to the people who have stayed loyal through the good times and the bad times. The Celtics won 40% of their games in the last 10 years..if that. It hasn't always been so bright and dandy for this team.

I disregarded the Bulls fans because the reality is that they were all Michael Jordan fans. EVERYBODY LOVED THEM. Hell even Spike Lee like Michael...he may never admit it but he did. As for specifying this year just look at your attendence. You went from being as low as 12,000 fans in BOSTON to selling out every freaking game. Not to mention in New Jersey where I'm suddenly seeing Celtics jerseys like Green is actually a fashion statement. I actually asked a so called Celtics fan who Lenny Bias was the other day and the guy had no clue. Moron wanted to talk trash until he was called out for being a bandwagon fan. He got laughed out of the Bar.

ill be honest. im not rooting for the celtics, because the raptors are a good team now. if the celtics had this team two years ago when the raps sucked, itd be easier to root for the celtics. its gonna be a fun last few months to the season then into the playoffs.

Sometimes, I hate Boston fans and I am one. Just remember, our teams weren't always good and there will probably some time in the future when they aren't good again. Feel free to be confident about the teams, but no need to be an ass about it.

40% of games in last 10 years, but you have 16 Championships. You have no idea what it's like to be a Nets fan.

If there has been a more heartbreaking, more unstable franchise in NBA history, I'd like to know, because I can't find one. Look at all the losing seasons. The forgettable moments. The two runs to the Finals and coming in second twice. Trading KMart, "Whoop-de-damn-do", selling Dr. J to the Sixers, Drazen's death, Rick Barry leaving, Jayson Williams' antics, etc. That's not even counting the countless empty seats in the Meadowlands arena over the past 25 years while the Nets were getting blown out.

And even though we've made the playoffs 6 straight years, it's still fustrating sometimes watching this team be eliminated by teams lead by Shaq, Kobe, TD, Chauncey Billups, DWade and Shaq, and LeBron and watch those teams either win championships or come close. Then when the Newark arena gets done a mere ten years after the first proposal, and you still have to get on the New Jersey Turnpike and park across Rt. 3 and walk across the tunnel in the cold (which for some reason got twice as long from last year) to watch the game in the worst arena in the NBA, because your team wants to make all the money off the advertising revenue because all the other tenants got smart and moved to Newark.

And yet the Nets still have a good fan base. No, they're not nearly as large as the Celtic fan base, but for fans that have lived through even some of those moments before Jason Kidd arrived, they have to be considered as loyal as any fan base in sports, no matter how big or small they may be. So don't come on to this forum and tell us you put us to shame, when you have no idea how it really is here. Those kind of statements make you an embarassment to yourself and to fans from Boston, who are not bad fans at all.

Dude evertime I go up there I have an awesome time...the city is clean as hell, doesn't smell like shit (NY) and is not nearly as crowded. Everything is within walking distances as the city is much more compact. The public transportation is excellent and honeslty the people are alot nicer than they are in other cities I travel to. I often go to NYC, Philly and Miami but honestly I always have a better time in Boston. If your ever there and looking for a place to find some girls check out Fanuell Hall...its crazy.
 
I have to say that Boston is one of the nicest cities, and I'd love to move there, if I could take the Yankees and Nets with me.

Agreed. I loved Boston when I went up there about two years ago. So much nicer than NYC. We stayed in an apartment about 3 min away from Fenway, and the atmosphere was amazing. It was cold as hell too. Loved it.

Dude in like two to three years the Celtics will suck as bad as the Heat right now...only problem is they won't have a young superstar to build around...they'll just have Rondo.
