I'm just really concerned about the overall health of the site. Just seems like things really changed, I don't know, about 3 years ago. It's just normal on here for certain people to just always stir things up and fight. Doesn't matter if it's about the draft or a current losing streak. Just has me a bit worried is all.
Just never used to be like this. It's so dysfunctional on here now. Can we all come together and get past all this. I notice a few people lately quitting and I don't want that to become OK. New fresh blood is what really keeps this place alive and thriving. Or at least it used to. Any help Sly would be greatly appreciated.

Seriously? Given that exorbitant payroll? So you really either overpaid (very likely) or they weren't really that good in the first place and not major changes need to be made even more so.

Back on topic.

This is an unbelievable quote by our PoBO and GM. He is essentially trying to rationalize a sweep and embarrassing playoff performance by saying we expected to lose internally? I would fire him on the spot if this is the leadership he embodies.

I read NO’s quote as saying that the team knew this was a tougher first round draw than the pundits were predicting. I want the team to be realistic; not puffed up by the predictions of sportswriters and talking heads.

I remain convinced that the Pelicans are the only team that was capable of doing what they did in shutting Lillard down for 4 straight games. AD made it work (coupled with roster shortcomings by the Blazers in not having enough shooters to force the Pelicans to play straight defense). I think that if the Blazers has drawn the Thunder in the first round we’d be getting set to play the Warriors tomorrow instead of bitching about our GM and coach.
 
Sly asked us to stop and some didn't think it pertained to them as they continued anyway. I have since deleted every one of my posts out of this thread and will no longer participate in the thread. I suggest others might consider deleting many of their posts as well. Have fun.

If this roster is dependent on the moon and stars aligning for the perfect matchup to win playoff games, then it is not the right mix of players to go into the luxury tax for. The Warriors are a bad matchup... you should not be getting swept by the Pelicans... Neil is an excuse machine. Unbelievable that he refuses to split Dame and CJ.
