Man, it’s Saturday. Take a deep breath and go hang with the family and friends.Used car salesman Neil Olshey says fans are overreacting to “4 games”... this is a lie! First of all those “4 games” are playoff games... it’s the reason you play for. There is time to plan and adjust... IMO, the playoffs show who you really are and are much more meaningful than regular season. Second, if you want to evaluate regular season... outside of the 13 game win streak, which really is an outlier, the team was 36-33, barely over .500 in a 69 game sample size... We have had years now to evaluate Dame/CJ combo... they are who they are at ages 28/27... nothing will change... team is in the luxury tax... ONLY WAY TO CHANGE IS TO TRADE CJ...Neil knows this yet he is condescending to fans who question the team, because his ego and not admitting he is wrong is more important
Should we all be nerds and meet up to watch the new avengers movie in 3D?Man, it’s Saturday. Take a deep breath and go hang with the family and friends.

Exactly. If your brand of basketball is good enough, it shouldn't be subject to a "poor matchup" that decides entire series, let alone end in a sweep.if your team is a legit contender or close you don’t complain about matchups...
The exit interview was one week ago. He's still on staff? It feels like a month since the exit interview. Time passes slowly when you wait for our do-nothing GM to make any transaction, even his resignation. I'll wait another month.
This thread was dead, so I woke it up after a month.
Geez, I haven't gone in for that kind of humor since I was a little kid.Hey, if the job Neil has done could be illustrated via picture:

Lanny knows humor when he sees it and Cup doesn't. Therefore, Lanny must have the higher IQ.
Although Cup must be psychic, to know what I posted when he has me on Ignore.
Now I'm not sure which one has the more powerful mind.
This used car salesman Neil Olshey is more concerned with his ego than the well being of the team. He knows there is no way to improve the roster without trading CJ because of the bad contracts he signed yet he refuses to entertain the idea because CJ was “his draft pick”. When is this clown gonna get fired. We need an unbiased evaluation of this failed roster!

That is incorrect as there are other ways to improve the roster. Some of you are so fixated on hating Olshey and thinking trading McCollum is the only way to improve the roster and showing very little creativity.

Your mom is on her wayPlease get laid.
Little creativity? What has Olshey done that’s been creative? He over paid Turner
Very little creativity as opposed to what? I'm not going to tell you that everything Olshey has done as GM was bad because it wasn't, but I can pretty easily list a lot of bad things he's done.
He way overpaid for Evan Turner. He way overpaid to keep Allen Crabbe, then had to trade him for nothing. Meyers Leonard is getting 10M a year to watch. His big trade that saved his job was he traded for Nurkic. Who now I bet he will over pay Nurkic in a couple months too.
The Blazers roster is riddled with Mediocre talent. With way over priced price tags making it really hard to be creative, because it's really difficult to convince other NBA teams they should want Meyers Leonard for 10M a year even though he never see's the basketball court. It's hard to convince them they should take on Evan Turner's rediculous contract, or that yes we'll give you Moe Harkless if you give us your best wing player. Olshey is a used car salesman, no matter what happens he will come out and say how that was all according to the plan, "nothing to see here, move along". I can't buy it anymore. Whether they trade CJ or not, you don't see very much creativity out of the forums because in reality we are in a horrible salary cap situation with "assets" no one wants at the price they have to pay, so it's hard to be creative. The thing is though, us "forum goers" didn't put the Blazers in this situation Neil Olshey did.
I guess that is one way to take it.That slimey con man Neil Olshey is trying to tell fans the playoffs were just a bad matchup, an outlier... he doesn’t mention that if the Blazers don’t have that win streak (the true outlier) the record is 36-33... barely over .500 and nowhere near the playoffs... losing 9 of their last 10, and 16 of their last 21... unbelievable... he wants fans to bifurcate the losses... THE TEAM WE SAW IN THE PLAYOFFS IS THE REAL BLAZERS TEAM! And that used car salesman wants to keep rolling with Dame/CJ combo when they are only players with value to significantly change roster
You seem to forget that he had to rebuild a team when he first took over a team that had players like Felton, Crawford and others that quit on the team and brought in players like Rolo, Aminu, Plumlee, Davis etc at low cost deals. Traded for Harkless for peanuts as well as trading for Nurkic and got a first round pick as well for Plumlee. Drafted probably the best player in the draft at #10 (CJ McCollum). We also don't know what Paul Allen's involvement was in signing the contracts you are complaining about.
I didn't forget any of that, and to be honest I don't really care what PA's involvement is, it's NO's job. I am perfectly fine saying yes he did some "good" things as the GM. His track record the last few years has pretty much sucked though. The Blazers are in one of the worst places cap wise of any team in the NBA for the 2nd year in a row. They have almost no flexibility, they look like a team that either has to make major changes or just hope that their mid-20's draft pick ends up being the next Manu, or Tony Parker (good luck). That Pelicans series if nothing else showed the Blazers as constructed just aren't close, the 3 seed was fool's gold. You realize they got swept pretty easily by a team that's is going to be lucky to win 2 games against GS. So we all knew the Blazers weren't on GS's level, but they aren't on the Pelicans level either? Then NO comes out and has audacity to say it was just a bad match up, it doesn't really matter they were the 3 seed! Was the goal to be the 3 seed and get swept? I honestly don't know how any Blazer fan could look at Neil Olshey's job the last 2-3 years and think he's doing it right.
