I'm So SICK & TIRED of Neil Olshey (1 Viewer)

That's two summers in a row, plus the regular season, that we've made moves to get worse. Last summer we deleted a rotation player (Crabbe). Then mid-season we deleted another player (Vonleh). And this summer we've replaced 2.5 rotation players (Ed=1, Bazz=1, Pat=.5) with 0.5 rotation players (Curry =.5). (Draft picks don't count, because every teams gets two picks every season.)
Crabbe was a rotation player, but how letting him go impacted the team is easily debatable.
Vonleh was no longer a rotation player by the time he was dealt
Curry will be likely as much a rotation player as Bazz was.
Also, you're omitting the addition of Baldwin, who is likely going to be a rotation player.

I know Olshey acquired all these guys but it still feels like all the “success” the team has had has had more to do with the coaches and Dames leadership rather than Neils grand vision.

Olshey never gets any of his objectives done in the offseason.

That bitch TT wouldn't play Center so NO went and got Rolo for a bowl of steam.

Because of this addition, every one of our starters had career years in rebounding.

Never say never.

Ole' Oshey strikes again.
Who made this? This is fantastic.

I listened to Dames interview at his camp and he was asked why fa's won't sign here. Well, he said during the season when players come here a time or two and its raining it turns them off.
When it comes to trades he's still got time and assets tow work with. However, it takes two teams to agree on a deal that should help both teams.

At the risk of over-generalizing, it does seem that Olshey's fans tend to have a low opinion of Stotts, while those that respect Stotts have a less than stellar view of Olshey. (you can count me in the latter camp)

Makes sense. 100%.

That's interesting. And true in my case.

BOTH of them get next season from me (like what I say matters).

They're both on par with the other when it comes to my patience level with either.

How is Curry a "0.5" rotation player? And Pat was only a rotation player when Harkless didn't play. Trent I expect to see some minutes and have more of an impact over all but 10 or so rookies, so his impact wouldn't be "canceled out". I don't understand the logic haha.

This is how I expect the rotation to go:

Lillard (36) / McCollum (12)
McCollum (23) / Curry (25)
Harkless (16) / Turner (21) / Trent (8) / Curry (3)
Aminu (28) / Collins (8) / Harkless (12)
Nurkic (30) / Collins (18)

Lillard - 36min
McCollum - 35min
Nurkic - 30min
Curry + Harkless + Aminu - 28min
Collins - 26min
Turner - 21min
Trent - 8min

So FA's don't like rain. Well, i'll take rain over snow any time, or any day. And i'll take rain over drought, for damn sure.
I think it has more to do with the hipsters, lack of nightlife, and skinheads more than the rain. Just my opinion.

Pending injury, I believe Nards will start the season as the back up 5.
I think he'll be given that role no matter what.
Only later in the season when Stotts tends to shorten his rotation will it get cut down.

I don't see how Stotts keeps WB4 out of the rotation.

You know when you're playing Dynasty\Season mode on NBA 2k\NBA Live and you don't feel like doing all the offseason shit, so you just skip most of the stuff to do, let the cpu sign\re-sign whatever players etc?

I kinda respect Neil for actually doing the real life version of that lol.

There is no way this post will get enough likes...

I just don't get that. To me the off-season stuff is THE reason for doing a dynasty on those games. I think that is way more fun than actually playing the games.

Neil's said Collins will play the 4 and 5, so I don't see how Meyers is in the rotation.

Who does WB take minutes from? Curry? There's no way.

Shit, I'll control all 30 teams and draft, sign, and make the trades that I think is best and most realistic for everyteam.

Man...

If I can have the patience to waste my life listening to the 10 minutes of bullshit that was just spewed at me (10 was all I could take), humans can achieve anything...

Believe me as someone who is accused of being a nerd / geek on a daily basis I understand the appeal, but I would much rather play the games. When I play franchise I pick 2-3 Blazers I gotta keep and the whole point is to crush everyone and the pin wheel wins, I don’t want realism I want Blazer domination.

How many (softball) interviews is he going to give holy shit
Actually, I thought he gave a decent interview. He doesnt beat around the bush much and states pretty much where they are at and why. He doesnt come across like jerk or know it all imo, he's just a polished guy that knows how to communicate effectively Id never put him in the same league as slick Willy. I don't recall to many Blazer past GM's that would open up as much and do interviews like that and I agree with giving the youngsters more time and they will offset Ed's loss, imo. I agree with the strategy part about more shooters and spreading the floor more out of p&r's.
Hey, Im sure if the right deal presents itself for a playoff vet wing, he will pull the trigger and I doubt there would be any sacred cows so every is on the table, if necessary. Just my opinion, I don't he he's the slime bag many in here paint him as. Nor do I think he's is set in stone here in this great basketball market!

Is that what he said? I didn’t watch. But that’s funny, considering it contradicts what he was saying in June.
