Whatever happened that day, you just killed a 17 year old kid. Forget for a moment the laws, the circumstances, the biases, the prejudices. You just killed another human being. The world is calling for your arrest, your death, your elimination. You have your defenders, but the outrage over the incident is eventually going to snowball into, righteous or not, a lynch mob that you will be lucky to survive from.

What's going though your head? Even if you believe your life was threatened (by the presence of a teenaged black kid in your gated community) and Florida law protects you, how do you deal with the knowledge that you shot and killed someone, and the world is screaming for your head on a pike?

the guy is a fucking moron, clearly there is absolutely nothing going through his head at any given time except for basic survival instinct.

if i had to guess, right now its probably "cheetos are food and i want to eat them"

What's going through my head?

"He was attacking me and I had to defend myself."

besides, if this goes away no one will care in 3 months. If I were him, I'd sell my story then hang out in some island in the Caribbean. He should do an exclusive interview with Radar Online, his story is probably worth 750k-1 million. no charges filed, so big fucking deal.

It's either be a huge rush or a huge blood draining out of your **** feeling.

Just my opinion, bit I don't buy his story for a moment.

Florida now has their second very high-profile murder in their state.

Fucking Florida.

Its america's toilet. the nice weather and cheap real estate brings a bunch of trash there, mostly east coasters who get "flushed" down there.

I give no fucks what Zimmerman is feeling. He stalked and murdered a young boy for doing nothing but walking while Black. He killed a kid who was pleading, crying for help and his life.

You don't know that.

For all we know, Treyvon could have attacked him. He was bloody with a broken nose.

"crying for help and his life"

give me a break. you weren't there, you're just making shit up.

Educate yourself before you claim others are making shit up.

http://sandrarose.com/2012/03/911-call-trayvon-martin-cried-for-help-before-gunshot/

“These assholes always get away,” he tells the 911 operator. “Shit, he’s running,” Zimmerman says calmly.

The dispatcher told Zimmerman that he was sending an officer.

[A car door slams shut]

“Are you following him?” the dispatcher asks.

“Yeah,” Zimmerman responds.

“Okay. We don’t need you to do that,” the dispatcher says.

“Okay,” Zimmerman replies.

But Zimmerman followed Trayvon anyway. Moments later, a rash of emergency calls placed to 911 from inside the community described a scuffle, cries for help and a gunshot.

That is a blog. This is all speculation. The fact that it is definitively referring to the killing as a "murder" shows there is already a bias.

It shows the writer of the blog has some critical thinking ability.

Hows this? Does that sound like a grown man, or a kid?

I don't think you know what critical thinking means.

Your ignorance is showing. The 911 transcripts have Zimmerman flat out stating he pursued Martin. Another tape with a kid screaming for help followed by a gunshot. Don't have to be Einstein to put it together.

You are jumping to a conclusion without sufficient evidence. Its a non-sequitur.

1. Following Martin is not a crime. Nor is it assault, nor anything else.
2. Martin screaming and/or begging, if it was indeed him, doesn't mean that he wasn't attacking Zimmerman. Or he wasn't the one initiating an assault.

People can't be this stupid...

The only reason this kid would have to attack Zimmerman was the fact he was STALKING him.

You're being unreasonably dense. I'm going back to lurking. GL

So you do admit that there is a possibility that Martin could have a possible reason for attacking Zimmerman. Following someone is not a crime. If Zimmerman was in fact being attacked (broken nose, blood, grass stain), he could have shot him out of self defense and when Martin saw he had a gun could have screamed when it was already too late.

Just out of curiosity, what ethnic groups am I allowed to shoot for walking in my neighborhood?

I honestly don't think Zimmerman is all there. Something wrong mentally from the way this whole thing went down, to his reaction, to even his history of being overly-paranoid and overly-zealous about the neighborhood watch.

good grief...

Whichever one is attacking you.

how can you be so adamant about his being attacked, when there is no proof of that either?

"You are jumping to a conclusion without sufficient evidence." ...arent you doing the exact same thing?

Zimmerman called 911 and told dispatchers he was following a teen. The dispatcher told Zimmerman not to.

And from that moment to the shooting, details are few.

But one man's testimony could be key for the police.

"The guy on the bottom who had a red sweater on was yelling to me: 'help, help…and I told him to stop and I was calling 911," he said.

Trayvon Martin was in a hoodie; Zimmerman was in red.

The witness only wanted to be identified as "John," and didn't not want to be shown on camera.

His statements to police were instrumental, because police backed up Zimmerman's claims, saying those screams on the 911 call are those of Zimmerman.

"When I got upstairs and looked down, the guy who was on top beating up the other guy, was the one laying in the grass, and I believe he was dead at that point," John said.

Zimmerman says the shooting was self defense. According to information released on the Sanford city website, Zimmerman said he was going back to his SUV when he was attacked by the teen.

Sanford police say Zimmerman was bloody in his face and head, and the back of his shirt was wet and had grass stains, indicating a struggle took place before the shooting.
