To me it's a win/win situation. Bayless is a tweener. Too short to be an effective defensive SG (his natural position) and lacks the skills to be an effective NBA PG. Yet, in certain situations he can provide an incredible spark off the bench offensively. Since we now have at least 3 better SG's, he has no defined role. Too many SG's and too few minutes. He hurts us at PG. If, like the blog states, he can garner us a #11 pick, that's a pretty decent chip in a trade or can even get us a decent rookie- and we have some needs (back up PG, maybe back up PG, probably back up C). I think it's a great trade. And with his new team he has instant respect from the coach who knows him well and as they have crummy SG's, a chance to play more.
