I look at
It as trump being exposed before the next election. It's not going to change his minority base but there are a lot of votes to be had outside his base. If he is voted out some credit will have to go to the impeachment.And if the Senate allows witnessed, and Trump again claims EP, how is the time spent going to court to compel testimony any shorter? The process is what the process is. Trump is entitled to all the legal and political maneuvering the Constitution allows. And, of course the outcome was known at the outset. Barring some horrible new revelation, there was never any chance he would be removed from office. I’ve said all along that this is pure political theater, with both sides playing to their bases and jockeying for an advantage next fall.
