Do yourself a favor and go see this movie. Trust me, it's awesome!

I swore never to see another Quentin Tarantino move. The guy is evil.

Its a Quentin Tarrintino film. What do you think?

I don't watch movies that are graphically violent, so I don't know. I just don't have the stomach for it. I could barely sit through Watchmen and I had to fast forward through some parts.

I'm guessing I won't see it then.

Isn't it spelled "Basterds"? That image has it spelled incorrectly.

I haven't seen it... probably will wait until DVD. My mom is going to see it, for some reason. I never would have guessed that. :)

Ed O.

I'm goin' to see it this week for sure!

It was good, a little slow in parts and there was less of Brad Pitt and the basterds than I would have liked. Overall it was pretty good, I think Tarantino tries too hard sometimes. He isn't going to top Pulp Fiction in a million years. Still a good movie though.

I just saw "Sleep With Me" again last night. I completely forgot about Tarantino's cameo in that movie where he theorizes on the subtext of "Top Gun".

Brilliant.

Which should I see first. This or District 9. I love all kinds of movies.

I just saw District 9. I almost got up and walked out twice, but my girlfriend convinced me to stay. It was the most God-awful thing I've ever seen; totally gratuitious violence and stomach-wrenching bloodshed and gore. I was almost physically sick watching it.

District 9 is so awesome, and I've heard likewise for IB, I can't wait to see it. For HCP, I'd see District 9 first.

Yeah, I knew I should have seen District 9 instead.

Basterds wasn't exactly soft core as far as violence goes either.

Both movies are awesome.

Basterds had some gore... but IMHO not Reservoir Dogs-style gore... more Kill Bill style.

Grow a pair.

Grow a pair.
If by "grow a pair" you mean develop the ability to waste two hours of my life watching non-stop carnage, bloodshed, and violence, just for the kick, then no thanks.

"District 9" is a piece of crap, but if you're one of those sophomoric types who loves gore for gore's sake, and just can't get your thrills any other way, then be my guest and go see it.

If you didn't like these movies, name some that you did like so I can get a feel of your taste in movies.

Wait, wait, really only Act 3 had a ton of carnage, Acts 1 and 2 developed the story with the main characters and the issue with that character that arises. Once they get in the government building, essentially Act 3 begins. I thought Act 1 was great in explaining the background information of District 9. This movie was not all blood shed. This is more of a sci-fi drama than a sci-fi thriller.

Inglorious Basterds is actually pretty tame in comparison to QT's previous movies. Overall the movie was amazing. Highly recommend. QT has the ability to keep you glued to the screen even throught the dialogue (eg the first chapter which was mostly just talking but so intense). Havent seen district 9 yet, heard it was good

Well considering that District 9 is getting some high critical appraisal I'll take their "critically" informed opinion over yours. District 9 has deeper underlying themes than just violence and carnage. If anything it's pretty mild to a lot of stuff out there.

Don't be such a girl.

You're such a buzz kill.

District 9 was more about how a indecisive and "clumsy" character transforms (quite literally) into a commanding and deliberate one. I agree, the blood and gore was excessive but it doesn't ruin the movie! Some people probably did enjoy the movie just because of the gore but I liked the "realism" and character development. It was a fantastic movie.

I can't believe how much I liked this movie. Then again, I love lines and dialogue. I really liked the German Colonel and Shoshanna, as well as Brad Pitt's character. Not so much for Diane Kruger's.

The gore wasn't that bad. We went as a group of 4 couples, and aside from two parts where my wife looked away for a second, even the women enjoyed it. They also all liked Pulp Fiction, though.

The only part of PF I turned away from was when John Travolta stabbed Uma Thurman in the chest with the needle. I'm looking for to IB.

Agreed. I saw it on Monday. Loved it. A few gory parts, but you have to expect a little of that in a Tarantino flick.

I've never heard "Stuck In The Middle With You" the same way after watching "Reservoir Dogs".
