We just got swept by the same team (tonight they didn't even have Iggy). We had 17 point second half leads in games 2 3 and 4.

But the majority of this board allows ZERO Dame or CJ criticism.

What is it? Is Dame a superstar or not? Because a superstar doesn't lose 3 straight games where he has a 17 point 3rd quarter lead. So either he's a superstar and deserves criticism or maybe we're a cinderella who had an easy road and we should just be happy to have made it this far.

Dame was not right. He was clearly hurt. It you can't see that then I don't know what to tell you.

CJ on the other hand missed key shots late in Game 2 and Game 4 that could have made it 2-2 going back to Oakland.

I'll feed the troll, but first, I've got to say your premise is on shaky ground. The board has been critical of CJ for years, it is likely only his strong showing against Denver that is keeping the pitchforks and torches at bay.

Overall though, the duo gets a little bit of a pass because they are largely responsible for the culture of overachieving on the Blazers, and even on a "bad" series they've put together solid stat lines. Disappearing is 20+ points and other activity. There are other spots on the roster, particularly among the starters that are much easier to point at. Also, the work both Dame & CJ put in the off-season work and expand their game each year.
