The Iowa Energy defeated the Tulsa 66ers in a special day game that was played at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City.
The Energy and the 66ers battled back and forth in the first quarter. Jackie Carmichael scored 9 of his season high 23 points in the first. Iowa hit six of their ten 3-pointers in the quarter and led it 37-35 after one.

Iowa used a 16-2 run to push their lead to 58-44 midway in the second quarter. Tulsa battled back with a run of their own and trailed 64-56 heading into halftime.

The third quarter was all Energy, as they outscored Tulsa 28-20 in the quarter. Iowa led 92-76 after three quarters.

Tulsa cut the lead to 5 with just over a minute remaining in the game but it wasn't enough as Iowa came away with the 114-106 victory to improve to 17-11 on the season. Tulsa falls to 10-19.

The 66ers were led by Grant Jerrett who had 24 points and 6 boards. Oklahoma City Thunder assignee Andre Roberson finished the game with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Mario Little and Reggie Williams each added 15 points.

Carmichael's 23 points, 13 rebounds, and 6 blocks led the Energy. Larry Owens had a team high 24 points. Moses Ehambe added 18 points and 7 rebounds for Iowa.

The Energy will take on the Sioux Falls Skyforce on Thursday, February 6th at 10:30 for the team's annual Education Celebration game.
