<{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Why should I continue to follow and root for this team when the front office has exhibited no competence whatsoever? For instance, do you even CONSULT with the coach before signing someone to see if there's even a CHANCE that he'll play? While all the attention has been on the ultimate fate of the "big three," they're not the biggest culprit for the team's failures: It is the supporting--or should I say the unsupporting--cast. Over the past few seasons, we've watched the Nets fill out their roster with middling veterans such as Eddie House, Cliff Robinson, Scott Padgett, Lamond Murray, Jeff McInnis, Travis Best, Rodney Buford, Ron Mercer, and Jacque Vaughn: A veritable revolving door of ineptitude that has now opened to the likes of Jamaal Magloire and Malik Allen. At the same time, we've watched other teams sign young, undrafted free agents, and gradually develop them into productive players that can make a real contribution. Not only have the Nets never had such a player, they've shown no apparent interest in even trying to find and develop one. Why do you have a blind spot when it comes to these young, unheralded players? For instance, why not sign Bobby Jones, who is a cheaper version of Antoine Wright--and may even be a better shooter?
Finally, are you offering rebates for fans that shelled out $150 for League Pass to watch your "product?"</div>
Definately agree. Seems like they are marketing so much on what we have until the juice is all out. We are one of the cheapest teams in the NBA. We look at players with dollar signs over there heads. Vince Carter brings fans and Magloire once was an All-Star. If that had panned out I'm sure we'd be seeing more of his face like we did with Mikki near the end.
I'm not saying we haven't dodged some bullets. SAR and Kenyon to name a few but then there is the Korvers, Blatches and others who would have been good pick-ups.
In a sense I'm glad I don't live near New Jersey because I only read what I want to read via internet rather than having it in my face all day. Nothing will improve when the people who sign these guys cannot communicate with the coaches benching them.
