Is Banton a keeper or is he this season's Kevin Knox?

Why do some posters feel so strongly about getting rid of Banton? His stats are too limited and against inferior players? Seems to me he has done better when he got more minutes?

For what Banton brings to the bench, he's a unicorn. At his 2 million a season he's one of the best values for the buck out there. Given regular rotation minutes, he can fill up the basket and rebound well as well as handle the ball. Be dumb to give up on him at that price

they just have very high standards for our 15th spot ok. they want blevins back.

Keeper. Not going to find a better back up guard. He's young and will grow well with the core. He's tall, can play good defense and put up points like nobodies business. Also, not going to cost us much to keep him around.

Banton is better than Knox, but I'm not sure he is a good long term fit. He has improved and his stock has likely risen, which is good. I could see him being tossed in on a trade to a team who thinks they can get him in full blossom.

I think we have seen his best game. Not that he can’t sustain it, but I think his good play of late is right close to his ceiling.

If it wasn’t for where Scoot was drafted, Billups would play Banton over him in the rotation

Same for Brogdon and Simons. Both are, and will remain, much better than Little Scooter.

Malcolm and Ant definitely weren't behind Scoot in the rotation last season... until they were sitting games out.

I do agree that Dalano is a better player than Scoot now. That being said, I wouldn't mind it if Dalano was included in a trade but he should bring back some actual value if he is.

I checked last season's 1st 10 games, and it's the opposite of what you said. Little Scooter was the default starter over Brogdon, except when Scooter was injured. I leave the other 72 games to you as homework. (Maybe I'm wrong, but that's how I remember most of the season went.)

game#
1-5 Scooter started, Brogdon subbed
6-8 Brogdon started because Scooter didn't play
9-10 neither played

As for Banton, he, Jabari Walker, and Reath were valuable last season, more valuable to us than what we can get for them.

MM is obviously confused by Banton’s height, relatively light skin tone and masked Canadian accent. Thinks he’s a WABC.
Could be, but I believe I think of him as a chuck first combo guard that doesn't play defense on a consistent level and doesn't make his teammates better. I could be wrong though. Maybe it's the WABC thing
