Is BF2 worth buying?

Since World of warcraft may be one of the most boring games ive ever played, im thinking about getting bf2 instead. Plus theres no monthly free and its full of shooting and not....magic

Thoughts?

Battlefield 2, i have that. It's gold and is worth every cent...

But, considering BF: 2142 has come out, you may want to re consider buying BF2 and opt for 2142, but i personally like BF2 more.

i have both, GET BF2! 2142 is good for about 1 month then it gets boring, i just went back to BF2.

BF2 is a waste of money, if you want a good online game then buy Counter Strike:Source

It's a good game, from a neutral perspective, but I don't like it. Full of pricks that don't stop playing and have nothing better to do with their lives.

For me, Source is too repetitive.


Its just the same kind of stuff that you get in normal CS.


You shoot them. They shoot you. You die. They die. You pray to god that the camper on your team starts moving. He doesnt. You lose. Thats it.


BF2 i like more because you can choose your Position and also has a great Single Player Mode.

A really good game to play with your friends..possibly on a LAN in school is Unreal Tournament or Quake. We played these all the time and even though they werent the best online games, they kicked ass on a LAN network.

I wouldnt splash the cash on it... Definetly a no no..

Halo isn't bad on LAN either.

I play battlefield

But yes counter-strike is probably better

Theres loads of awesome mods out for BF2 atm, like the pirates mod
