After watching him step up without Chris Paul and looking at his efficiency this year as much as I want to call him a one trick pony the dude's game has evolved. So right now I have to admit Blake Griffin is the NBA's best PF followed closely by LA, with Love a comfortable third.

Say what you want but 54% shooting is a lot more efficient than 46.6%.

Thoughts?

LA's shot chart last night was disgusting. I don't know if this is by design but he has stopped going to the paint altogether if a center is guarding him.

i don't know what would be worse, if he is breaking the offense by doing that or if Stotts is telling him to. Either way it needs to stop.

LMA should be embarrassed after last night. That first quarter was uncontested dunk after uncontested dunk it felt like

There is no question that Blake is a superior basketball player. I would say that Dirk, Z-Bo, and Love are also better.
Ask yourself this: Could LMA beat any other PF in the skills challenge? I don't see it happening.

Yes. Griffin is a better player and has been for around a year now. I would trade LMA for Griffin in a second and not look back. It's not even close IMO. LMA has the ability to make it close (as shown in his run in early December), however he just doesn't want to do the "dirty work". It's more his mindset than physical skills.

I would also say that Anthony Davis is (or will be very soon) a better player.

LMA is in a second tier group with Love & Dirk (age).

Bosh, Ibaka, Nene, Duncan (age), and Z-Bo are third tier PF.

nene is too high. He is injured too much

I wouldn't trade Meyers Leonard for Griffin. He's in the same category as Kobe IMO. Not matter how good I would never want him on my team, simply despise his character too much to ever be able to root for him.

Opinions are like demo tapes

I don't want to hear yours

If that was that case that would be why this team would never sniff another championship. You can't base everything off of character and you can't fall in love with players.

Sure we can I fell in love with Paul George.

OK if we could go back in time and if this was possible I bet most Blazers fans wouldn't trade Porter and Duckworth for Bill Laimbeer and Isaiah Thomas because we didn't like there character.

Just goes to show most fans are idiots.

I think its that fans as passionate as Trailblazer fans get so into it that they feel protective of their guys and are so eager to only see the good things in their own players that they can villainize the rest of the league and the players that aren't Blazers.

Griffin is a flop artist and a cheat. He travels on many dunks and no calls are made, he also clears out with the left arm on just about every contested dunk. he's getting the Michael Jordan treatment because he does kia commercials and kia is a huge NBA sponsor.

This thread is OT. The Clippers fan site is down the hall, second door on the right. Blake played a better game than LA last night on 3 days rest as opposed to LAs back to back Thunder, Clippers games. When our 3 time allstar has a mini slump, no need to dis the guy. Blake also got a ton of calls and LA just doesn't get superstar calls. for 2 games before last night LA got 1 freethrow call.

Considering LA was nursing a sore groin, I think he drastically overachieved last night.

So now we can't say Blake is better than LMA without being told to leave and join the Clippers board? come on now

Blake gets more calls because most of his play is inside where you will get hammered on much more regularly and get fouled more. LMA doesn't get as many calls because much of his game is in the midrange and you just don't get fouled there as much. Griffin is shooting nearly 10 points higher than LMA this year. Blake has 24.2 ppg, 9.8 rpg, 3.5 apg on 53% shooting compared to 23.9 ppg, 11.4 rpg, 2.8 apg on 46% shooting for LMA.

Blake Griffin will never sniff a championship.

People keep talking about the evolution of Blake Griffin, but I just don't see it. He looks the same as he always did, a ridiculously athletic power forward. He's still no where near as good as LaMarcus one on one. People keep talking about how he can dribble, but almost every time he did, I physically cringed because it looked so bad. That's not a good thing. He's a terrible decision maker, his shot still looks shitty, and I just don't get it.

I remember people saying the same about Rasheed when he played in Portland. Anyway not my point, My point is you just can't base everything off of character and fall in love with players. Thats just not how you win forget about Blake Griffin.

i saw him dribble his way to the rim from the midrange a few times last night. He's also shooting 40% for the year from 16 ft out to the 3 point line. that is a 7 points better than when he was a rookie so there is definite proof it it is improving. He does have a very ugly shot but if it is going in then theres not much you can say. KG always had a bad looking shot too.

you could make a book with all the people thats been said about. LeBron, MJ, KG, Kobe without Shaq, Paul Pierce, Dirk Nowitzki just off the top of my head.

How many of those few times did he finish? He looks entirely out of control to me when he drives and spins. His only hope is getting bailed out by the refs. I'll let him shoot long jumpers all day, shot is broke as hell. Sure he's gotten a little bit better, but I don't think anyone should be calling him the best PF in the game.

I legitimately think Blake Griffin's character and attitude will be a hindrance to him winning a championship in his career.

Griffin is one hell of a player. He's playing better than LA right now. Earlier this season, LA was playing better than Griffin.

Griffin in his 4th year is shooting 40% from that range. LMA in his 4th year was shooting 38% from that range. Like it or not Griffin is getting better and better and his ceiling is much higher than Aldridges. He's far ahead of where LMA was in his 4th year, by his 8th he could be a MVP level player.
